Medications• Zestril (Lisinopril) is used to treat high blood
pressure, prevent heart attacks and strokes. Zestril (Lisinopril) dilates blood vessels increasing blood flow through them. This medication has shown benefits after 2 to 4 weeks of usage. Other medications used to treat high blood pressure include Lopressor (Metopolol) and Diovan (Valsartan). Lopressor can lower blood pressure levels and be used to treat chest pain or (angina). Lopressure has also been used in the treatment of migraine headaches. For the treatment of congestive heart failure and high blood pressure, Diovan (Valsartan) has been used.
