In fact, the garden and the rest of our beautiful grounds are one of the first things our visitors notice. “My special place at St. George Village is the garden. I love hearing the birds sing and the laughter of the children playing at recess at the school next door,” says SGV resident Barbara Cox. “Gardening offers an opportunity to visit with my neighbors, plus it’s good exercise and provides a feeling of accomplishment!” We have learned that gardening is much more than planting and harvesting — gardening is about powerful connections… connections between the gardener and the earth, the plants and the garden itself. And we believe that relationships are like gardening — that strong ones grow from well-tended seedlings. That’s why we encourage everyone who lives, works and visits here to form connections that are nurtured, grow and become seeded into the landscape of our community.
