Section 1 – SAFE Y IN RUC IONS

- Do not touch the HID bulb at any time. I the bulb comes into contact withskin clean it with alcohol and allow it to dry be ore installing.

- Don’t look into bulb when turned on, this may cause permanent damage toyour eyes.

- Afer installing the HID bulbs, your headlights must be adjusted. I the head lights are not properly adjusted, you will impair the vision o drivers.

- Please consult the users manual or a pro essional to adjust your headlights.

- Check that all wires and connectors are not close to hot sur aces. Overheatingthe wires against a hot sur ace may cause electrical problems.

- Do not turn lights on and off rapidly. Tis will shorten the li e o your bulbs.

- I your vehicle uses Auto-On headlights, disable them and switch toManual-On mode.

- Please keep this manual or uture re erence and warranty.

Section 2 - PRE-INS ALLA ION INS RUC IONS

Be ore installing your kit, please ensure compatibility by plugging inall wires and turning the system on (Check installation diagrams). I bulbs ickerduring the test then turn them off immediately. Remember to disable the daytimerunning lights by removing the DRL relay or the DRL use. Any advance installa-tions requiring a relay harness, computer bypass (error cancellation) or resistors/capacitors and should be pre ormed by a pro essional. Tese installations are notcovered in this instruction manual.

Te resistor harnesses can become extremely hot during operational use,so make sure they are not in contact with anything metal. Proper installation othe harnesses should have them suspended between two points.

*Daylight Running Lights (DRL) operate at a lower voltage. Tatwill cause damage to HID’s.

CHECKING HE IN ERIOR SIZE OF HOUSING

HID bulbs require a diameter o 15mm and an interior depth o 56mm.Te kit may not be installed on a vehicle i the bulb size does not t inside thehousing.

1. Make sure the bulb is placed in the Lock position be ore installing.

2. Insert the bulb into the housing and clip into place. *9004 / 9007installation may require that the screws holding the retainerclip be loosened in order to t.

3. Remember that the bulb only ts in one way. Do not turn the bulbpast the locking position as this may prevent the bulb romactivating the high beam mechanism. Do not turn too little either.Te bulb should be securely in place.

Section 4 - ROUBLESHOO ING GUIDE

Be ore troubleshooting, ollow this basic inspection procedure.

- Check the car battery terminals. Are they tight, loose, lots o corrosion? - Check all connections between the bulb, ballast, actory headlightplug(s) and all power / grounds wires.

- Check your vehicles uses as well as any other uses on your relayharness (i you are using one).

- Check that your battery / charging systems are in good condition &holding a charge.

-Clean all connections points with alcohol and allow them to dry.Aferwards, re- attach the kit to your vehicle and test. Tis mayx your problem.

PROBLEM: My HID lights icker when car is on and the lights areturned on.

SOLU ION: I both sides are ickering then your car most likely needs a

relay harness to give the bulbs a steady stream o power. Youcan purchase this relay harness rom us or 714 - 985 - 4825.

*Note: I your vehicle is a newer model Dodge (2005 and up) or German made vehicle (BMW, Mercedes etc.) then you may need a capacitor in addition tothis relay harness. You can research HID installation or your particular vehicleonline and nd more there.

PROBLEM: I have Daytime Running Lights equipped on my vehicle, but mayHID kit doesn’t work with them.

SOLU ION: You must disable the Daytime Running Lights or Auto-OnSwitch unction be ore installing your kit. HID kits require asteady stream o 12 volts to unction properly and DaytimeRunning Lights operate on 7 volts. Tis disparity may causeyour kit to not unction properly or worse, shorten the li e oyour kit. I you have Daytime Running Lights, please ollow

your car’s service manual to disconnect the Daytime RunningLights by disconnecting the use or wiring scheme. HID kitsalso require a lot o power or the initial ignition and Auto-OnSwitch lights turn on just BEFORE your car starts. So to avoiddamaging your kit, always remember to start your engine be oreturning on your HID system. I you have Auto-On Switchheadlights, please switch the unction to manual mode.

PROBLEM: My kit was working ne at rst but now one o the sides isickering when I turn the lights on.

SOLU ION: Disconnect all connectors immediately. Clean every Connectorwith alcohol and wait or all parts to dry. Afer everything is dry,make sure all connectors are making contact and are securelyconnected. Next, change your headlight uses (both sides) rom10 or 15 amps to a 23 or 30 amp use. I you only have one useto regulate both headlights change it rom a 20 amp to a30 amp use.

PROBLEM: Only one o my bulbs is turning on but I installed both sidesexactly the same.

SOLU ION: Tere are 3 possibilities here. 1. Te polarity o one o the kit does not match your stock harness. Te plug going into the ballast needs to be reversed. You can test

this without harming your vehicle or the ballast / bulb.2. A use controlling the lights on this side might be blown. Check

the use- box in your vehicle to make sure the use is still good.I you have a 10 amp use you may need to replace it with a 20amp use to x the problem. I you have a 15 amp use you maywant to replace it with a 30 amp use.

3. Tere is a de ective bulb or ballast. Instructions to test orde ective parts are shown in section 5.

PROBLEM: Te color output o the two bulbs doesn’t match.

SOLU ION: Te level o the headlights housings are not even. Follow theinstructions in your owner’s manual to adjust the height. Fornewly installed bulbs there is a chance that the colors will bedifferent or the rst ew hours while the bulbs are burned in.Afer a ew hours o proper use the lights will burn at a normalcolor. Also be sure to make sure your lenses are both clean.Some dirty lenses reect light differently and will cause HIDbulbs to look different colors.

PROBLEM: My car’s harness has 3 open slots, but the kit I received onlyhas 2 connection prongs.

SOLU ION: Te kit you purchased is a single beam HID kit. Singlebeams means that you will have the low beam unctionbut not the high beam unction. Plug the power (red)wire into low beam socket, and the ground (black) wire intoyour ground socket.

PROBLEM: Both sides do not turn on.

SOLU ION: It is extremely unlikely that an entire kit is not working.Tis is most likely a polarity problem. o x this issue,

ollow these steps: 1. Make sure the power to the lights is off. 2. Disconnect the wire going into the ballast

or power.

3. Switch the plug by ipping it around andreconnecting it into the ballast (this may betight t but will not harm the plug or theballast). Once you have made this changeon both sides o your lights, re-ensure thatall connections are tight and secure. urnon your lights and your problem shouldbe solved!

PROBLEM: One or both o my lights icker or a bit when I rst turnthem on, then they light up normally.

SOLU ION: I the bulbs eventually work normally, that means they arestill unctioning properly. What you want to consider isinstalling a relay harness or your HID Kit, which solves

this issue.

PROBLEM: My HID High / Low kit doesn’t go to high beam, stays inhigh beam only, or has the low and high beams reversed.

SOLU ION: Te wires have been connected incorrectly. Sometimesmanu acturers change the placement o the low, high and groundconnectors in their vehicle’s sockets. Tis has no affect onhalogen bulbs, but does affect HID operation. Look at the wireson the harness.

White= Low beam, Orange= Ground, Blue= High beam. Make sure theses arealigning properly with the low/ high/ ground sockets on your vehicle. Tis willallow proper operation o your bi- xenon bulbs.

PROBLEM: My HID High / Low kit will not go into high beam even aferxing the wiring connections.

SOLU ION: Te bulb has been turned too tightly in the housing. Please

ensure that you have screwed in the bulb only tight enough tolock it in place. Over- tightening the bulb will prevent the bulbrom going into high beam position.

PROBLEM: One or two o my ballasts was working intermittently; I have toturn on and off the light switch a ew times to get my HIDs toturn on. How do I x this?

SOLU ION: Sometimes vehicles not equipped with HIDs rom themanu acturer cannot handle the initial 12,000 volt burst o poweror your wiring harness cannot send a steady stream o power.I this is the case, we strongly recommend a relay harness toprevent damage to your kit as turning the kit on and off canshorten the li espan o your kit.

I troubleshooting does not x your problem, test the kit by applying power to theballast directly to see i the problem is with the kit or the vehicle.

Section 5 - ES ING FOR DEFEC IVE PAR S

I you have tried the troubleshooting guide and still have bulbs not

working, check which part needs to be sent in or warranty:

1. Make note o which side o your vehicle is having a problem. 2. Swap over the bulb rom the working side. 3. I it works then the bulb is de ective. 4. I it doesn’t work then the ballast is de ective.

Section 6 - WARRAN Y INFORMA ION

Warranty period is 1 year rom date o purchase.

Warranty only applies to original purchaser. We recommend you retainall records o original purchase to validate your warranty. A validRMA # (issued by your original retailer) will be required in order toclaim any warranty. Shipping and handling charges are not coveredby warranty. Only de ective parts need to be sent in or warranty.

Physical damage is NO covered by the warranty.

Contact your retailer or PPE or instructions on claiming warranty.
