SPEAKERS
John Esslinger is a Commercial Horticulture ExtensionEducator. He earned a BS Degree in Agriculture and aMasters Degree in Horticulture. He has worked asa field representative for Furmano Foods inNorthumberland and has been an Extension Educatorfor 16 years.
Steve Bogash is a Regional Horticulture Educator inthe Capital Region of Pennsylvania, out of FranklinCounty Office in Chambersburg. His expertise includesvegetables, small fruit, cut flowers, pond management,greenhouse vegetables, and specialty marketing.
Sylvia Braderman has been the Floral Manager and
Buyer for the past three years at the Davis Florist andGarden Center. She is also currently writing a book onher passion, Edible Herbal Bonsai.
James Diehl is Past President of the CentralPennsylvania Orchid Society and is also a Member ofthe American Orchid Society. He is also the NewsAssignment Editor and Anchor/Reporter for RadioStation WGRC in Lewisburg.
Jeff Fowleris the County Extension Director inVenango and Forest Counties. In addition to beingCounty Director, he is the western Pennsylvania TurfSpecialist serving 20 counties. He is a volunteer onthe grounds crew at the Little League World Series. Jeffwas honored by the Sportsturf Manager Assoc. at the2006 Annual Meeting with the Dr. William H. DanielFounders Award for his excellence and dedication to
research and teaching.Liz McDowell coordinates the Western MountainsChapter of the Maryland Native Plant Society. She isalso an active member of her local Land Trust andWatershed Association. Along with her husband, shemaintains a demonstration wildlife garden on theirproperty, Elk Ridge Native Plant Preserve.
Ellen Worthington has had over 30 years of experi-ence in both floral and landscape design. She has aretail location at the Columbia Mall in Bloomsburg onThursday through Sunday. Her business has threedivisions: wreaths, landscaping, and lawnmowing/snowplowing.
