We have a great story to tell.

Our story begins in 1987 as the industry super fund for health and community

services. We’ve grown to become Australia’s only national super fund solely

dedicated to the sector.

But we’re much more than a super fund.

We’re thinkers, doers and leaders and we aim to make a positive impact

for generations to come.

We’re a committed leader of responsible investment in Australia, having received national

and international recognition for pioneering best practice and innovation.

Represented the voice of super and pension funds around world,

addressing the UN Climate Summit.

As one of Australia’s largest investors, we use our influence to make positive

change across the companies we invest in.

Among the first super funds to sign on to the UN-backed Principles

for Responsible Investment (PRI).

First super fund to introduce a responsible investment option

with Eco Pool in 2000.

One of the first major Australian super funds to implement a

portfolio-wide tobacco exclusion.

We have a proud history of supporting health and community services through partnerships

within the sector. In 2007 we launched our very own national awards program.

We acknowledge Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples as the Traditional Custodians

of all Lands on which we come together.

We were the first industry super fund to develop a Reconciliation Action Plan,

setting out the steps HESTA has and will take to demonstrate our strong commitment to

reconciliation with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and organisations.

The retirement story for our members can end with a shortfall.

And, today an Australian woman’s story is still one plagued with imbalances and inequalities.

So we’re not just going to forge a good life for our members today. We’re going to create a better life for them tomorrow.

Because like every great writer, we don’t just look at the way things are, we imagine the way things could be.
