Judges' ProfilesBest in Show ~ Krystyan Greenland (Rajarani)Krystyan is well known for his love and dedication to Siberian Huskies and has bred, owned or exhibited 19 Champion Siberian Huskies and judged the breed at Crufts in 2008. He also exhibits Finnish Lapphunds and Schipperke and has judged a multitude of breeds, Groups and Best in Show at Open Show level. He is passionate about judges' education and development and is the current acting Secretary of the SHCGB. Krystyan has for many the perfect job as he works in the brewing industry.

Hound Group ~ Chris Toynton (Merrybriar) Chris is our furthest travelled judge today coming all the way from Moray in Northern Scotland where he is a well-known exhibitor, judge and show organiser. Chris showed Dalmatians for over 20 years and has been judging since 1992 awarding CCs in the breed. He judges across all seven groups at Open show level and has judged BIS on five occasions

Gundog Group ~ Martyn Rees (Tyndale) Martyn started showing Rottweilers and Flatcoats and has made up Champions in both also co-owning a GSD to CC level. As well as judging he now concentrates on the working side with his Goldens and Flatcoats but is particularly interested in the minority Gundog Breeds and attends many of their events, he awards CCs in Flatcoats.

Utility Group ~ Kirsty Tod (Kengai)Another Scot, Kirsty, is now living in Hemel Hempstead from where she exhibits her very successful Shih Tzus. She is a committee member of Bournemouth Championship Show and Oxford Canine Society and awarded her first set of CCs in 2017. Kirsty recently changed jobs and now travels the world as a Business Travel Manager

Terrier Group ~ Becky Johnson (Downstream)Becky is no stranger to Herts & Essex as last year she was our secret judge for the High Roller Stakes. This is probably the shortest distance Becky has ever travelled to judge a show as she lives just down the road in Newmarket where she runs her successful Flatcoat kennel. Becky is well known in the Gundog Group where she awards over 15 sets of CCs and is passed for the Group at Championship Show level. She is a committee member of Richmond Championship Show and has more recently embarked on a journey to learn about and judge Terriers and we are pleased to offer her our Terrier Group.

Toy Group ~ Claire Bayne (Clanscot)Claire is another from North of the border and another ex-junior handling star, having represented Scotland at Crufts. Claire has been judging for 15 years and awarded her first set of CCs in 2018 in her specialist breed Bichon Frisé.

Working Group ~ Marina Scott (Belsmard)Marina should need little introduction, with a background as a highly successful junior handler and now a hugely successful exhibitor and handler at the highest levels, Marina still co-ordinates junior handling on a national level. Her specialist breeds are Border Collies and Beagles and she awards CCs in both. Today Marina will judge our Working Group and I am sure she will have a keen eye on the junior handlers.

Pastoral Group ~ Penny Roberts (Archeaus)Penny will be known to many and is a committee member of Hitchin Canine Society. Her specialist breed is Samoyeds, she is a member of all the Samoyed breed clubs and she has judged them at CC level as well as in Europe, Australia and New Zealand. As well as herding and Spitz breeds she has a great interest in Working breeds and has judged the Pastoral, Working and Utility Groups at Open shows.

guidance to help guide you through the do’s and don’ts travelling to and whilst at KC licensed events. • When travelling to a show please take a moment to consider whether the route to the show is on a busy holiday route, and

leave earlier to avoid increased time in traffic jams. • If your vehicle is not air-conditioned seriously consider whether travelling to the show is a good idea at all. • The vehicle should be as fully ventilated as possible, and plenty of stops should be taken, with lots of water available to drink. • Ensure your dog is not sitting in full sunlight. There should be plenty of free flowing air around the dog. • When at the show, never leave your dog in the vehicle. • Keep the dog in the shade - take your own shade for example a large umbrella and always have plenty of water available

to drink so your dog stays well hydrated. • Avoid your dog taking part in unnecessary exertion, or from standing in exposed sunlight for extended lengths of time. Remember, if you feel hot your dog is very likely to feel much hotter and dehydrated, and this could lead to dire results. Please

look after your dog’s welfare. WARNING: IF YOUR DOG IS FOUND TO BE AT RISK FORCIBLE ENTRY TO YOUR VEHICLE MAY BE NECESSARY WITHOUT LIABILITY FOR ANY DAMAGE CAUSED.

17. Anyone whose dog is entered at a Kennel Club licensed event should take all reasonable steps to ensure the needs of their dog(s) are met, and should not put a dog’s health and welfare at risk by any action, default, omission or otherwise. Breach of Kennel Club Regulations in this respect may be referred to the Board for disciplinary action under the Kennel Club Rules and Regulations. The use of pinch collars, electronic shock collars, or prong collars, is not permitted at any show licensed by the Kennel Club. This shall apply at the venue or within the precincts of the show.

18. Not for Competition entries will be accepted. Details of each dog so entered must be recorded on the entry form and must be Kennel Club registered.

19. No modifications will be made to this Schedule except by permission of the Board of the Kennel Club, which will be followed by advertisement in the Canine Press wherever possible.

20. Entry Fees will not be refunded once an entry has been made. 21. No animal other than those duly entered for the show will be allowed within the precincts of the show during its continuance.22. Should any judge be prevented from fulfilling his/her engagement the executive reserve the right to appoint another in his/her

place, subject to the terms of Kennel Club Regulations. 23. If, in the opinion of the Show Secretary, Show Manager or Judge, any dog is considered not in a fit state for exhibition owing to

disease, savage disposition or any other cause, the dog may be excluded or removed from the show on the instruction of the Show Management.

24. The Committee will not be responsible for the loss or damage to a dog or dogs, or any property, whether arising from accident or any other cause whatsoever nor from any act or omission of themselves, their officers, servants or others and it is on this understanding only that entries are received.

The owner, exhibitor, handler or other person in charge of a dog at Kennel Club licensed events must at all times ensure that the dog is kept under proper control whilst at the licensed venue, including its environs, car and caravan parks and approaches. This Regulation applies before (at any time during the set up period at the venue), during the event and afterwards (at any time during the breakdown of the event).
