Shri Pradhan, SI/RO on seeing danger to his men and Govt stores, jumped into the shirking waters and started shifting stores and men to safer places but almost 200 barrels swept away in the river.

Shri Pradhan alongwith the Jawans jumped into the furious river and succeeded in retrieving about 100 barrels. On the evening of 16.6.91 the river again increased dangerously and become more furious than the earlier, flood and started flowing along the jawans mess and Solar Hut.

Despite chilling fast current/dark night, the SI alongwith four other entered into the river and broke the barricades and diverted the flow of river water to another side.

On 3rd January, 2016, at around 2028 hours a group of armed Fidayeens attacked the CGI, Mazar E Sharif with Rocket Propelled Grenades (RPGs) followed by heavy brust fire from automatic weapons. The group of Fidayeens tried to breach the boundary wall and main gate by resorting to heavy Gun fire and Grenade lobbing, but CT/GD Sandip Ghosh, CT/GD Harinandan Gurunani and CT/BB Satish Kumar under direction of Insp/GD Subhash Chandra fought bravely which resulted successful thwarting of the attack.

Insp/GD Subhash Chandra with total total disregard to his own safety and braving intense hostile gun and rocket fire; resulted in elimination and injury to terrorists and compelled other Fidayeens to run for shelter in adjacent buildings. By that time, Afghan Forces arrived and engaged attacking terrorist by surrounding the building. Later on, in a joint Combing operation by Afghan Quick Reaction Forces and support fire by ITBP, remaining Fidayeens were also eliminated.

On 2nd March, 2016, at around 1156 hours, a group of armed Fidayeens attacked the CGI, Jalalabad by firstly detonating explosive laden car (VVIED) and then resoting on heavy gun fire and lobbing of grenades. Insp/GD Dinesh Sharma, HC/GD Mohardwaj, CT/GD Ravindra Singh and CT/GD Bhoopendra Singh resorted to exemplary courage and retaliated with exemplary fire discipline and valour by not retaliating with in-discriminatory fire otherwise such action would have definitely invited collateral loss to the friendly force/ANP. Himveers demonstrated exemplary courage and held the morcha till the end of enraged combat/firing between attacking Fidayeensa and ANSF (QRF)

The quick decision making, precise sharp shooting skills and the astute courage and combat resoluteness in highly risky anti terror combat operation demonstrated by the above personnel speaks about the highest level of bravery and true professionalism of ITBP personnel.
