Hero’s Journey Journal This assignment is to be done in conjunction with your study of The Odyssey. The purpose of the assignment is to a) help you better understand The Odyssey b) help you better understand Odysseus as a hero, leader, and character. Your assignment is to create 12 journal pages detailing the events of the Odyssey with an illustration to go along. Each page should have: 1) A Title. The title of each page will be based on the stop in Odysseus’s journey. 2) A Visual Element. You may use photos, drawings, computer graphic art, etc. that shows the events of each stop. 3) A Summary of the Text. The summary should be 7 or more sentences. Include all major details of the stop in your own voice (pretending to be Odysseus). Think about what could be ADDED to the story from Odysseus’s point of view (feelings, more gruesome details, etc.). Note: You will be completing rough drafts for each stop to ensure full points for the final project. Due dates for rough drafts will be given at the time of finishing each section of reading.

Hero’s Journey Journal

This assignment is to be done in conjunction with your study of The Odyssey. The purpose of the assignment is to a) help you better understand The Odyssey b) help you better understand Odysseus as a hero, leader, and character.
