Firing Squad News

Three riflemen from the Post Squad along with three riflemen from the Coun-

ty Color Guard and a Commander, Chaplain, and Bugler provided full honors at

the funeral of Robert V. Wiltsie on 23 December.

There are no scheduled events for February and March at this time.

The Firing Squad is still waiting for a few good men and women to volunteer

their time. Legionnaires, Sons and Auxiliary members are eligible and welcome.

777 Auxiliary News

We are in the process of sending all of our auxiliary members a letter updating

our members on some of the many things that we have going on. If you have any

questions when you receive your letter, please feel free to call me at 483-0234.

Our Junior Auxiliary is going to be busy the next few months with making

some crafty items and a “Bake Sale” at the Post’s March breakfast. If you have a

daughter or granddaughter under the age of 18, we’d love to have her join our

group. Membership is only $5/year.

I’d like to apologize to everyone for the 2 weeks of Tuesday dinners that were

cancelled due to the weather; that is the 1st time we’ve ever had to cancel a din-

ner! In the future, if the weather is questionable, you can call the Post @ 483-

0777 or listen to the WJTN cancellations.

Thank you to one and all who support your Auxiliary so that we can continue

to support your Post!

We have some great bands coming to 777, including some new groups. We’re

From the 1st Vice Commander - Membership

The Post is selling nice, embroidered baseball caps for Vets for $10 each. We

still have: Korea, Vietnam, Desert Storm and POW MIA caps available. We also

have two 777 Post winter jackets, size LG & XL for sale. They are $100.

I will be raffling off hams & turkeys for Easter on Tuesdays, Fridays and Satur-

days. Tickets are $1 / chance.

2016 dues are past due. You will need to pay them before you will be allowed

into the post. Please remember to come in and pick up your cards. (You can pick

them up at the bar or the doorman’s office.

On behalf of the Son's, I would like to wish everyone a Happy New Year. 2015 was

a very busy year for the SAL and 2016 looks to be more of the same. The Son's are

sponsoring a 200 club raffle and a gun raffle on February 21st. The 200-club raffle

tickets are $10.00 each and only 200 will be sold. They are available at the bar. The

SAL will also be raffling off a 22-gauge Henry Golden Boy and tickets are $2.00 each,

and are also available at the bar. Get your tickets ASAP, they are going fast.

I would like to welcome Terry Stempin, as our new SAL Adjutant.

Before closing, I would like to thank all my SAL Board members for their hard work

in 2015, and look forward to working with them in 2016.
