2. Take the card marked ‘top’, turn over and ask your children or grandchildren to decorate however they like. This will become the front of your calendar.

Advent Calendar3. Then using the card marked ‘bottom’ get customising!

We love to put cut outs from family photos in the space available. However pictures of favourite cartoons, football teams and pop stars would all be fantastic too.

4. One for adults! Take the newly decorated ‘top’ card, turn over and cut along the dashed lines using a craft knife or scissors. Just cut the three sides as shown and press back in place.

5. Glue your decorated top card on top of your customised card filled with pictures, so that a different photo is revealed as each square is opened.

6. Finally, number the doors one to 24 using a coloured pen.
