in Montmartre. Xavier taught Bruno all that he knew about herbs, flowers, alcohols and chemicals. The two formed a powerful team, creating
many fantastic concoctions. Their partnership came to an unfortunate end however, when Xavier died in a strange explosion in 1981. He was
trying to create an experimental new fragrance called 'Liquid Dynamite' when he accidentally mixed some dangerous chemicals together with
tragic results.

Local Perfumer Found Dead on Laboratory Floor

Xavier Delavigne, a well-known figure in the Parisian quarter of Montmartre, passed away yesterday. He died following a freak explosion in the
laboratory of his perfume shop. He was 76 years old. Xavier lost his parents when he was a child, and never found them again. On the other
hand, he did find a Polish immigrant on the metro, who raised the boy as his own and taught him the art of perfume-making. At the age of 19,
Xavier married his first love, Clairette Marciano. Although he never received a formal education, Delavigne became a talented chemist and
an accomplished perfumer through his hard work and dedication. In 1928, Clairette gave birth to their only son Marc, a jazz musician who now
lives with his wife in San Francisco. In 1933, Xavier opened 'La Parfumerie Xavier Delavigne', which became a favorite amongst locals.
Clairette died a few years later, leaving Xavier a widower. Xavier is survived by his son Marc and his grandsons Bruno and Felix. His shop has
been left to his beloved grandson, Bruno, who shares Xavier's passion for perfumes.
