Life is not fair!

A murderer may escape punishment using his money or influence or in the hiding

Many dictators escaped their countries and seeked asylum in different country – escaped punishment

What punishment can you give a person, in this world, who murdered 7 million lives?

A pious person may be unrewarded for all the good he/she does in this life Do we always see the reward of our giving charity to the poor? Food to the hungry? What reward do we receive in this world if we are killed for our actions or

beliefs?

Why believe in the Afterlife?

Credible Book (Quran) mentioned it All the prophecies of the Quran came true as mentioned: Victory of Romans over Persians – Prophesied in 614 CE,

fulfilled in 623 cE (Quran 30: 2-4) Body of Pharaoh will be preserved (10.92) Muslims will enter Makkah (Mecca) victoriously (48.28-28) Humans will travel to space (55.33)

Life in the hereafter is also a Prophecy Thus it too will come true Quran has a good - PERFECT track record!

Logical Belief in the Hereafter - 1

80% of the Quran has proven to be 100% correct 20% cannot be proven since they contains knowledge of the unseen, unknown,

future etc. Logic dictates that if 80% is 100% correct, then the 20% is most likely correct. Life in the hereafter falls in the 20% of the verses not yet proven Thus believe in the hereafter is a better ‘bet’ than not to believe in it!

Logical Belief in the Hereafter - 2

If hereafter does not exist than both a believer and an atheist will have nothing to loose.

But if the hereafter DOES exist, then the believer will ‘win’ and an atheist will ‘loose’!

Thus it is better ‘bet’ to believe in the hereafter than not to believe in it!

Why believe in the Afterlife?

Prophet Muhammed (s) has a good PERFECT tract record!

Why believe in the Afterlife?

Allah is All-Just (Al-Adl) Allah will ultimately provide justice for all actions and intentions of ours A murderer /rapist/thief will receive JUST punishment A pious/honest/believer will receive JUST reward All is The Accounter (Al-Hasib) We will be accounted for all our actions and intentions Allah will forgive, reward or punish us for our actions and intentions

Quranic Verses on the Hereafter

What! did you then think that We(Allah – Plural of Authority) had created you in vain and that you shall not be returned to Us? (Quran 23.115)

"And march forth in the way (to) forgiveness from your Lord, and for Paradise as wide as the heavens and the earth, prepared for those who have Taqwa (God-Consciousness)." (3:133)

"And fear the fire, which is prepared for the disbelievers" (3:131)

smile: ‘After all it didn’t matter!’

Consequences of belief in the hereafter & Accountability

A person and society will strive to avoid all things for which they will be punished –

Decrease in crime, rapes, drugs, abortions, lying, cheating, back-bitting, spousal abuse etc.

A person and society will strive to DO all things for which they will be rewarded –

Feeding the hungry, compassion towards young, respect of elders, caring for neighbors, sharing of resources, corporation between nations etc.

Firm belief in Hereafter & Accountability will bring…
