HERCULES Hercules was a very strong and a

very good hero.

The Story of Hercules

Hercules’ mom was Alcmene and his dad was Zeus.

The Goddess Hera was really angry because Zeus, her husband, had a baby with another woman. Hera vowed to get revenge on Hercules.

Since Hera was so mad, she sent two huge snakes to try and kill the little baby Hercules.

Instead of the baby getting killed, Hercules strangled the snakes.

After many years, Hercules had married a woman and had two kids. Hera was still angry at Hercules and made him go crazy and kill his kids.

For a punishment, Hercules had to work 12 jobs for Eurystheus.

Notice how much trouble Hercules has with snakes? That's because his enemy is Hera and she's an Earth goddess so snakes like her.
