The scope of delivery ranges from a power range of 15 - 2200 kW. The operative range for this gearbox is varied. In the plastics industry you will find our single shaft extruder gearboxes for granule, tube, profile and foil extrusion applications.

MUTAX®-worm gear sets are available in all gra-duations of centre distances and transmission ratios which are technically possible. You are not at all restricted in using a great indi-viduality in the design of the shaft end. MUTAX®-worm gear sets are made of high qua-lity centrifugated nickel bronze and Henschel Antriebstechnik uses hardened and ground ca-sehardened steel for the worm shafts.  The advantages of our products in detail:   interchangeability of the worm gear sets

 Our range of products continues to include worm gear sets where the backlash can be ad-justed and corrected. Here the backlash of the tooth profile can be adjusted to a minimum via axial movement of the worm and can be re-adjusted after longer operation. This can be car-ried out without altering the gear mesh situati-on and the fully generated tooth contact pat-tern. The worm gear sets are supplied with cent-re distances from 65 mm to 1.000 mm.

Henschel Antriebstechnik manufactures worm gearboxes according to your requirements with high quality MUTAX®- worm gear sets. Together we determine the design size for the gearbox dimensioning, the outer and inner gearbox de-sign and the necessary additional equipment. In this way we are able to offer complete power transmission systems and solutions. Our product range includes the following gearbox designs:    

foot or shaft mounted gearboxes  with horizontal or vertical output shaft  input and output shafts can be design as so-lid as well as hollow shafts   with or without output flange or motor  bell housing 

single reduction or with an addition helical or worm reduction 

 These gearboxes are supplied with centre di-stances ranging from 63 to 750 mm and input power ratings of 1 to 900 kW.

By applying modern design and manufacturing methods the wheelset gearboxes are designed in a modular system. We can offer you a wide spectrum. The locomotive axle gearbox series types AK, AKV, ATV and RKS as well as special spur wheel backgears for E-drives bring ”movement onto the rails”. In various research projects we have successfully developed and tested locomotive gearboxes at maximum drive speeds of 500 km/h or 3000 kW per wheel set.  Henschel Antriebstechnik guarantees you a ma-ximum in service life  and running capacity for a minimum in maintenance and repair costs.  The global quality standard IRIS means Internati-onal Railway Industry Standard and  has been 

developed especially for the railway industry on the principles of the ISO 9001. Increasing re-quierments on the quality level and growing opening and globalisation tendencies within the railway markets have made the leading rail ope-rators, system developer and contractors defining the IRIS standard which each supplier in the railway business has to meet in future.  Henschel Antriebstechnik is the first gearbox manufacturer in the world who has obtained the IRIS certificate.

DURUHIT® special gearboxes, which are in use for widely different applications under the roug-hest conditions, are a guarantee for quality and reliability. They are applied to all areas of me-chanical and power engineering and are used as power transmitters, speed reducers and/or rota-tion changers. 

DURUHIT® gearboxes in special design are deve-loped together with the customer. They are tai-lor-made for every specific case. The technical details for the gearbox's dimensions is determi-

ned together with the gearbox's design and the possible need for additional equipment. Complete driving systems originate from DURU-HIT® gearboxes through the fitting of gearbox stages, prime movers, brakes, oil lubrication sys-tems, electric control systems, etc. This means that the customer needs to make less telephone calls and is relieved from coordination and adap-tation work that costs time and money. Opti-mum drive solutions can be developed for new systems and existing drive concepts can be opti-mised.
