PROJECT H.O.P.E. Helping Our People Everywhere

LIBERTY REGION - OUR STORY

Bags ready for delivery

Project H.O.P.E. is a community action pro-ject whose major goal is the distribution of food packages to poor and elderly Jews during Pass-over. The ritual foods of Passover are out of reach for far too many Jews in need every year. That’s when Project H.O.P.E. steps in to provide Pass-over meals to Jewish elderly and those in need in our area. For recipients living alone, the food de-liveries also provide a welcome bit of company. This sometimes can be as important as the food itself.

Last year in the Philadelphia area, 700 families received Passover food. Jewish organizations pro-vide the lists of people who need packages. More than 400 volunteers met at Temple Sinai in Dresher to serve as packers and drivers. B’nai B’rith Liberty Region is proud to serve the Jewish community in this capacity.

To all volunteers and donors who make this possible year after year, we send our thanks and best wishes for a healthy and Happy Passover.
