Mandatory Safety Stand Downs were required by all jobsites in April and July to address these topics:

• What is COVID-19?

• Recognizing symptoms of COVID-19

• How is COVID-19 spread?

• M. B. Kahn responsibilities

• Employee responsibilities

• Work Groups

• Sanitation and Protective Measures

• Personal Protective Equipment

M. B. Kahn relied on the expertise of the S.C. Department of Health and Environmental Control (DHEC) for the “stop the spread” signage we required to be posted on all jobsites. Our COVID Task Force created additional signage for posting alongside DHEC signage, as well as essential work certification cards for use in municipalities with stay-home orders.

A.4. WORK GROUPS A.4. TRACKING

At the end of each work day a Superintendent, or someone to whom the Superintendent delegates this task, is responsible for logging and documenting each employee’s assigned Work Group.

Work Group tracking allows for immediate identification of any close contacts onsite.

Jobsites are required to develop and maintain Work Groups that are made up of employees who stay in the same Work Group consistently.

Considerations for developing Work Groups include, but are not limited to: tasks, schedule, and all safety measures. Each Work Group consists of the smallest amount of employees possible to safely complete scheduled tasks.

Work Groups are not allowed within 6 feet of each other from the start of the day through the end of the day (including lunch, breaks, etc.). Work Groups are utilized to limit exposure on site.
