SPOTLIGHT
The classes of Ms. Petty, Ms. Hilgeman and Ms. Hughes took a field trip to one of St. Louis’ top spots for children…… The Magic House!!
The children had an awesome time learning about how water travels through our sewer system. They even learned about the effects of gravity on things and how pulleys work.
The Magic House also added a new exhibit this year…. CONSTRUCTION! The children were also able to see and use the actual tools used on construction sites. They were even
able to get INSIDE an actual BULLDOZER!
We also designed our very own unique aquarium filled with various urchins from the ocean.
How awesome is THAT?!

Nobody Has The Power To Ruin Your Day!
by Ms. Anthony, School Counselor
Bullying has become a very dangerous and prevalent problem in our world, the effects of which can be life changing and severe. We must all do
our best to raise awareness of the problem and to provide the information, tools, and knowledge, self-confidence and defense mechanisms to children, in order to give them the best chance possible of handling and actually overcoming, being bullied.
My goal as a school counselor is to help children recognize just how powerful they really have over bullying
situations. Children want to be part of the conversation. By others listening to them, knowing that we care for their well-being. Let’s all work together as parents, teachers, community, and educators to continue to put the word out that bullying is not okay, it’s not okay!!!!
