Plant A Row for the Hungry, or PAR, is a people-helping-people program aimed at feeding the hungry in communities across the country. Created by the Garden Writers Association in 1995, it targets more than 70 million U.S. gardeners, many of whom grow more than they can consume. Harvesters’ PAR program is a partnership with the Master Gardeners of Greater Kansas City.
