About Me
My name is Karolina Czerwinska. I am 16 years old and was born in Kolno, Poland. I go to Brooklyn Studio Secondary School and live in Brooklyn, NY. I think it is important for everyone to be aware of issue of animal cruelty, that is why I created this website. It is to give people the right information to help animals in need. I do my part for this cause too. I volunteer at an animal shelter. It is a very friendly shelter that treats its animals and volunteers well. Information- 98% of Americans consider pets to be companions or members of the family. -Animal cruelty problems are people problems. When animals are abused, people are at risk.-In one study, 70% of animal abusers also had records for other crimes. Domestic violence victims whose animals were abused saw the animal cruelty as one more violent episode in a long history of indiscriminate violence aimed at them and their vulnerability. AdoptionIf your thinking about getting a pet, adopting one is the better choice. According to the ASPA, about 60% of dog and 70% of cats that enter animal shelters are euthanized because there is not enough space for them.
