Maths Lessons:
As it is Wednesday you will find your Maths lesson on White Rose Maths.
The worksheets will be uploaded separately to our Year 2 Distance Learning Page for you to access from now on. You will no longer be able to access the worksheets on the White Rose Maths website, but you will still be able to access the video.White Rose have teamed up with BBC Bitesize who have additional games and activities to run alongside each lesson. Each day I will provide you with the link for that particular lesson, should you wish to use it.Please note: BBC Bitesize activities are extra, please complete the White Rose learning first.
Please follow what we set and don’t worry about the fact that we are not doing the Maths work set by White Rose Hub for today, this is because we do not rely solely on their planning but like to give the children some variety.

Writing Day 3 – Planning your Information Poster
So we have looked at the features of an information poster, you have decided what is going to be the
topic of your poster and conducted your research –Now we need to plan what your poster is going to
look like, making sure you have included allof the features it needs.
Planning your Information Poster – Let's remind ourselves of the features we will need.
Main headingIntroduction – what is the poster about?
Sub-headings
You can use bullet points if you want to, as well as sentences
Pictures – remember to label themEye-catching design to make it interesting
Lots of information and 'Did You Know...?' Boxes – fun facts
Writing Day 3 – Planning your Information Poster
So today, you need to plan where on your poster you will be putting all the information you have found out. What sub-
headings will you use? What pictures will you draw and label and how will it all fit on the page?
Have a look back at the examples on Monday's slide to help you and have a look at some of the non-fiction books on oxford owl for
good examples of labelling pictures.
Writing Day 3 – Planning your Information Poster
Planning out a piece of work is a good idea as it gives you a chance to think about what your final piece might look like, and make
changes on the way – you might move parts or change the sub-title or add in something new.. A plan supports you to write a
great piece of writing by making sure you have thought about all that you want to include. A plan doesn't have to be pretty or have full sentences, it is just an idea of what you will write about and where! Keep your plan safe until tomorrow when we will create
your finished piece of work!
