Monday 27 th April 2020 Hello Year 1! I can’t believe another week has flown by without everybody being in school! Can you remember how many days are in the week? I miss talking about the days of the week and working out the date with you in the morning. Can you remember the names of all the days of week? I could do with some ‘helping hands’ to help me tidy up today! I wonder which names would come out of the bag if we were in school today? Our topic this half term is Africa. We have lots of fun activities about lions for you to do. I’ve got some jokes to share with you about lions too… - What do you call a lion’s reflection?... A copycat! - Why did the lion loose at dominoes?... Because he was playing a cheetah! - What happened when the lion ate the clown?... He felt funny! - On which day do lions eat?... Chewsday! I better stop there and dry my eyes from laughing so much!!! Can you think of any jokes? It could be about anything – why not send one to me and make me laugh! It would also be nice to hear what you have been doing. This week, we went for a walk looking for lions but we couldn’t find any. I wonder why there aren’t any lions in the wild where we live? Instead, we found ducks! Isaac and Max both had food to feed the ducks, but Max thought the food was a snack for him and he ate it himself! Luckily, Isaac had enough food for all the ducks.

Hello Year 1!

I can’t believe another week has flown by without everybody being

in school! Can you remember how many days are in the week? I miss

talking about the days of the week and working out the date with

you in the morning. Can you remember the names of all the days of

week? I could do with some ‘helping hands’ to help me tidy up

today! I wonder which names would come out of the bag if we were

in school today?

Our topic this half term is Africa. We have lots of fun activities about

lions for you to do. I’ve got some jokes to share with you about lions

too…

- What do you call a lion’s reflection?... A copycat!

- Why did the lion loose at dominoes?... Because he was playing

a cheetah!

- What happened when the lion ate the clown?... He felt funny!

- On which day do lions eat?... Chewsday!

I better stop there and dry my eyes from laughing so much!!! Can

you think of any jokes? It could be about anything – why not send

one to me and make me laugh!

It would also be nice to hear what you have been doing. This week,

we went for a walk looking for lions but we couldn’t find any. I

wonder why there aren’t any lions in the wild where we live?

Instead, we found ducks! Isaac and Max both had food to feed the

ducks, but Max thought the food was a snack for him and he ate it

himself! Luckily, Isaac had enough food for all the ducks.
