Hello, PHS Pirate Boosters!
Although this school year has looked very different, the Boosters have been busy supporting our school and preparing for upcoming events and fundraisers.
Do you have your Pirate Gear? If you have your PHS spirit wear, you might have gotten at our Pirate Treasures Pop-Up Stores held during supply pick-ups or picture day. Thank you to everyone who came out to volunteer and to those who shopped. Still looking for spirit wear? Check out our online school store. As the students transition back to school, we know they are going to want to share their Pirate Pride. We look forward to seeing everyone wearing their new Pirate gear.
Dinners at home is a new way of life during this season. Want to add variety to your meals and support the PHS Boosters at the same time? We are currently selling Lou Malnati’s pizza coupons (see details below). Pizza Bella continues to be a Pirate favorite for Dine and Shares. We were so excited to add Taco Shop to our Dine and Share options. Dine and Share dates are on our website. Don’t worry, we also post reminders in our emails and FB in case you forget. Stay tuned for a new restaurant option in February!
The holidays are around the corner and many of us will be doing our shopping online. Amazon Smile is a great way to give back to PHS and the community. Directions on how to use this program are below. It's free and only involves the initial set up by you!
Attention all parents of Seniors: The class of 2020 Graduation Signs are on sale NOW through the MySchoolBucks. This is an awesome way to support your Senior and our PHS Booster club.

Have you joined the 2020-21 PHS Pirate Boosters yet? If not, it is not too late! Joining Boosters is easy. Simply visit our website www.phspirateboosters.com and click on the “Membership” tab on the home screen. Once there, scroll down to fill out the membership form online and pay with your credit card or PayPal account. You may also print out a registration form and return it to Palatine High School with a check.

Attention PHS Athletes & Families,
We still have copies of the Fall 2019 & Winter 2019/2020 sports programs available. If you didn’t get your copy and would like one, please email us at [email protected]. Please specify if you would like Fall 2019 and/or Winter 2019/2020. We will save you one and email you when it is ready to

Music students just submitted their auditions for ILMEA
District 7 Senior Festival. While there will not be a
traditional festival culminating in a day of creating music,
selected students will have a day of masterclasses with
professional musicians. Congrats to our students who took the
time to prepare the ILMEA audition! From band: Beth Eterno
(junior, oboe & English horn), Sarah Holdeman (junior,
saxophone), Ria Iyer (sophomore, flute), Alec Loessy (junior,
trumpet in concert and jazz), Charles Mayschak (junior, trumpet),
Maura McGarvey (junior, drumset in jazz), Charlie Rossi (senior,
trumpet), Matt Stepp (sophomore, trumpet). From Choir: Aaron
Willming, Maddie Hake, Emma Boghossian, Sarah Holdeman,
and Abigail Zimmerman. From Orchestra: Julia Inman (senior,
viola) and Hayden Williams (junior, cello).
Congratulations to the students recently accepted into the PHS
chapter of Tri-M, the National Music Honor Society! The
following students will be inducted in a virtual ceremony in mid
November: Eesha Bhargava, PJ Dix, Lianne Escobar, Laura
Gonzalez, Bianca Ilao, Ria Iyer, Briana Marquez, Charlie
Mayschak, Nadia Metzo, Dylan Moon, Tori Nolan, Vidhi Patel,
Uma Patel, John Peterson, Cristina Ramirez, Sophie Schaad,
James Schneiderwind, Ravi Shah, Matthew Stepp, Alexa Tan,
Kelly Tobin, Frank Vyverberg, Haidyn Wendlandt, and Grace
Ziomek.
Music is still ringing in the halls! While we await the arrival of
PPE for the band instruments and specialized singing masks for
our choir students, they have been rehearsing outdoors with
appropriate social distancing. Orchestra students took
advantage of the academic tutoring time to come in and record
their fall concert music this week. Their virtual concert should be
released by Halloween.
