Hello! My name is Chayo.

I am from a beautiful place called Rio Negro, in Colombia.

I live near a huge rainforest .

I live with my mum and dad, three sisters and four brothers.

My dad is a farmer. He grows coffee and many different fruits.

My dad also has some animals like chickens, cows and turkeys.

I help my mom and dad on the farm.I cut the corn, feed the chickens and

help my mom in the kitchen.

I help my dad with the coffee preparation.

I love going to school. I can take a break from doing jobs at home.

At school, I am so lucky. My teacher takes us on a nature walk.

We can see beautiful birds like the azulejo.

This is a sittura bird. Some people call it a squirrel cuckoo!

One time, our class went on a trip to a waterfall. It was so amazing.

We even saw this bear. It is called anoso andino. This means ‘ a bear with glasses’

My favourite bird is the toucanet.It has a large, colourful beak.
