HolaAt Stein Study, we provide Irish school students with the invaluable opportunity to study a foreign language abroad. Studying a language in the native country it is spoken in, is hugely beneficial and can greatly enhance language skills in a short period of time. With our courses, students not only benefit from improving their foreign language skills, they also gain unforgettable life learning experiences, meet people from around the world and learn how to be independent.

Our courses are provided by a selection of outstanding language schools in France, Germany and Spain. Each school is carefully chosen based on its quality of teaching, suitability for teenagers and its location. There is an exciting choice of 10 locations; from small rural towns and historical cities, to bustling cultural cities and sunny resorts by the sea. We believe that the location of the course is just as important as the course itself and we want our students to have a fun and rewarding experience.

Our packages include the foreign language course as well as full or half board accommodation, activity programmes, mentoring and supervision. Each course is different, so once you have identified which course type is relevant to you in our summary of courses, read the individual course pages to establish which specific course and location is most suitable for your requirements.

Junior Summer Courses TRANSITION YEAR INTENSIVE COURSEHolaGuten tag!

If you are looking for a summer getaway, consider enrolling for one of our Junior Summer Courses and return to school in the Autumn with new and improved language skills. Our summer courses are a great way to improve your French or Spanish language skills whilst making new friends and enjoying some fun and sun. You will be fully supervised.

If you want a more intensive language learning option for your Transition Year, consider one of our Intensive Courses at a specialist language school in France, Germany or Spain for 2 weeks to 12 weeks. You will stay on campus or with a host family and receive up to 35 hours a week of language tuition. As well as learning the language, there is plenty of fun to be had with a range of activities, sports and excursions organised by the language schools. In France and Spain you will have a dedicated group leader that will only look after Stein Study students.

Are you looking for an exciting and academically rewarding option for your Transition Year? You could spend 2 weeks to one full academic year attending a local secondary school in France, German or Spain.The courses combine an intensive language course (2 weeks) at a leading language school followed by a placement in a local Secondary School, whereby your TY will join in with local French or Spanish students. You will stay with a local host family, which is a great way to fully immerse yourself in the local language and culture. There will also be time to relax and enjoy yourself outside of school with a range of activities, sports and excursions.

If you are taking your Leaving Certifi cate exams in the next year or so, consider some extra foreign language tuition to help improve your grades. Our Leaving Certifi cate Preparation Courses in France, Spain and Germany, off er short summer courses (2 to 6 weeks) at leading language schools. You will stay on campus or with a host family and receive up to 34 hours of tuition per week. These courses include classes that focus on oral comprehension and past Leaving Cert Papers to prepare you for your forthcoming exams.

Students attend 20 hours of Spanish classes per week and 15 hours working at the language school.
