Hello and welcome to the York and North Yorkshire NextGen Roadshow 2012 What will I get out of today? Today you will hear about about the practical benefits of broadband and the technology it enables. You will meet companies who can help you implement new technologies and software and make a real difference to your business. What does this mean longer term? The rollout of high speed broadband across North Yorkshire and York will mean rural businesses can compete equally in terms of connectivity with firms in larger cities. High speed broadband gives businesses access to technology which can be truly transformational and enable access to new customers, reduce costs or improved customer service. What's the LEP's involvement? Your Local Enterprise Partnership is a business led partnership with the public sector which aims to enable businesses to grow. We want to ensure that businesses understand the benefits and opportunities that broadband enabled technology can provide. What about the infrastructure? Our local authorities in York and North Yorkshire have shown great foresight in understanding the importance of high speed broadband for our businesses, communities and public sector. They have secured funding to help achieve access to high quality broadband for all businesses and citizens in North Yorkshire by 2017. Hello and welcome to the York and North Yorkshire NextGen Roadshow 2012

What will I get out of today? Today you will hear about about the practical benefits of broadband and the technology it enables. You will meet companies who can help you implement new technologies and software and make a real difference to your business. What does this mean longer term? The rollout of high speed broadband across North Yorkshire and York will mean rural businesses can compete equally in terms of connectivity with firms in larger cities. High speed broadband gives businesses access to technology which can be truly transformational and enable access to new customers,

reduce costs or improved customer service.
