I got only 43% in class 11th's 1st unit test (cbse) in pcm stream! what to do?i was a good student earlier. i used to get more than 80%marks always because i focused on books.but this year,i don't know what has happened to me. i am not serious towards studies. my teachers praise me a lot and say that i think differently because i ask totally different kinds of questions in the class (mainly in physics class) but i think that is why my marks have got less. i haven't told my parents about my marks yet. i don't know how they will react if i tell them. please help me! i am very depressed.

43% in PCM??? and you are crying??? Loll you should party...I cleared my SSC with 70% but i cleared my class 11th with grace marks in Maths, they gave me almost 30 marks to clear my Mathematics :). The rule was in entire year we should get atleast 35% marks in each subject(i.e. 105 marks out of 300), but i got only 75 marks :(. And about Physics and Chemistry i got just around 105 marks. So dont worry about your class 11th marks, they never matter to anyone just concentrate on your studies as next year you will be in class 12!!!

it is always happen....... becoz u r nw study different from 10th... in my class who students achived 90%.. they are got only 50% in 12 th...... science hey ....so hota hey.... if u understand sub... u will get good marks without read

Hi, No need to worry,you have to work hard .First of all , i would say that you need to sit, analyse and design your own realistic time-table. Regarding your marks,you just explain your problem to your parents.Never hide anything with your parents.They will help you in solving your problem. Here I can help you with an article which provides some tips to study hard and score well.Check the link given below.

this looks like a case of choosing a wrong stream, if you ever experienced these things you may have chosen a wrong stream : 

1. You never feel like paying attention in class 2. You do not talk to anyone that much that you used to 3. When you start studying, you can never concentrate and end up thinking something else. 

If that is the problem, solve it immidiately, Take commerce or humanities. Both have a lot of scope. CBSE allows you to change stream before 31st October. 

Another reason might be that you are relying only on CBSE books. I have to tell you that the quality of the book is not upto the mark. Theory wise, all are okay. But Numericals and practical work should be done from a reference book. Everyone in the science stream practices from these book. Don't be stressed though, things will get much better in 12th
