Halifax Tours and Travel Limited is an established travel company with expertise in handling not only domestic and international air travel but also car hire services, hotel and lodge bookings, tailor made local and international safaris, transfers, meet and assist as well as organizing meetings, conferences and seminar facilities. We also provide visa handling services for specific countries.

i) Simon Ngigi - Director:

As an accomplished Travel Marketing Strategist, with ranging areas of expertise and experience, Simon has contributed significantly to the growth of Halifax Tours and Travel. An articulate, diplomatic communicator and effective team leader, Simon consistently works to ensure that Halifax achieves the highest professional standards of travel services in the industry.








He brings with him 16 years of Industry experience, which were gained while

working with various management positions. Simon has worked for Halifax Tours & Travel for the past 6 years during which period he has steered the company growth by leaps and bounds. He has also implemented a comprehensive client

relationship Management system and negotiated significant corporate discounts with leading airlines. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from University of

Nairobi; a Certified Public Accountant of Kenya.

ii) Margaret Wanjiru - Sales & Marketing Manager:

In a class all by herself, Margaret is a one person media machine, with no limit as to what she can do. When Margaret gets involved she is an amazing combination of passion, inspiration, expertise, tenacity, and great gut level instincts. Margaret's native and international intelligence for sales and marketing is of top class. She has the drive and energy necessary to see complex projects through to completion, guiding teams and clients through the entire lifecycle process, and on time. She is both a team player and a dynamic leader, a professional who wins the respect of others through his integrity and unwavering desire to bring out the best.

Margaret is a holder of Bachelor of Education degree from Kenyatta University and a qualified CPA (K). Margaret has 4 years of experience in various organizations in sales & marketing, some of which are multi-national organizations. Amongst his accolades is the recognition as the top producing sales executive in market expansion.

Air Charter Services

We make reservations in all air charter companies such as Air Kenya, Safari Link and Yellow Wings on behalf of our esteemed customers at the best available market rates.

24-Hour Emergency Service Centre– Local/ International

Halifax Tours & Travel Limited operates a 24-hour emergency service. Our Senior Managers and staff are on call after working hours and during the weekend and public holidays to deal with any travel related emergencies. Hotline numbers are circulated to clients on a regular basis.

Last Minute/Emergency Ticket Requirements

Travel plans often change unexpectedly, making short notice or en route ticketing a must. In these instances, Halifax Tours and Travel Limited utilize the following methods:

Travel Insurance

Halifax Tours and Travel Limited is able to arrange locally, travel insurance with American International Group (AIG) / CHARTIS and UAP Insurance. Halifax Tours and Travel will charge a minimal facilitation fee plus you will pay the actual Insurance costs being taken by the traveler.




MICE, Meeting Incentive Conference and Exhibition Facilities

Our good working relationship with Kenya chain Hotels and Lodges enables us to negotiate on behalf of our clients conference packages. We provide transport services for the delegates and on-conference support services at a minimal charge.

Transport and Car Hire

We provide to our esteemed customers, in all manner of vehicles from saloon cars, 4x4 vehicles and safari minibuses e.t.c at very competitive budget prices on daily, weekly, monthly or even on yearly basis as per our customers need. (please see transport and car hire in section III of our services)

All the mentioned in section III of our profile vehicles are clean and are fully “air conditioned” with DVD players and fitted with a high frequency H/F radio. Fully stocked first aid kit, Kenya and East African Safari Map, a range of Jonathan Scott's Field guide books, a cool box, 2 spare wheels, Mud guard shovel, a tow rope and a basic tool box.Most of our vehicles are Silver in colour. All of our vehicles are dent free, well maintained with no dust inlets with comfortable seats with seat belts.We provide excellent back-up service in the field and we make replacements in time should there be a need. All our operations are on a 24-hour, 7 Day a week basis.

Visa Handling Services

Visa is a permit issued by the country authorities to a person for entry exit or transit through that country. Tourist and Business visas are issued according to the applicant’s status, purpose of visit and passport type.

Halifax Tours and Travel Limited senior management experience with international travelers has allowed us to establish close working relationship with consular staff.





Our ability to expedite visas is one of the keys to our success with international travelers. We will provide you with such assistance, based on the following conditions:

Halifax Tours and Travel will charge you an administration fee You will pay visa fee charged by the government agency or the consulate and

the costs incurred in securing the visa or passport such as courier costs, overnight express, and delivery costs.

Service request should be made within normal working hours.

Visa requirements and charges schedule are circulated to our clients for ease of referenceHotels and lodge ReservationsWe undertake Hotel and Lodges reservations in all major Eastern Africa cities on behalf of our customers at discounted rates.

Air Travel and Ticketing Services Fees

In the Air Travel and Ticketing sector our service fees are of no doubt very reasonable, we have our Duty travel Agent whom we facilitate issuance of e-tickets as currently we are not in the membership of IATA and KATA member.

We have however found as a KATA Member there are mandatory service charges that are forced by Travel Agents in Kenya to apply to their co-operates and walk-in clients.

These charges cover the Kenya Associations Travel Agent for the following:





- To continuously review and appraise the needs of its Members so as to provide them with meaningful services and benefits.

- To promote and protect the interests of KATA and its members.

- To act of on behalf of its members in discussions and negotiations on industry specific issues.

- To promote the highest code of ethical and professional Standards of its members in their dealings with consumers and each other.

- To facilitate access to innovative and Industry driven financial and risk management services.

SECTION II: TOUR SERVICES Inbound Tours

We arrange tours at all National Parks, National Museums, Historical Sites and Mountain climbing tours for individuals or groups as per arranged itineraries in East Africa. We will avail information on availability and costs within the shortest possible time. These are the services that all our travelers can expect to receive:

Personalized: Our individual approach ensures that we design the perfect safari for your interests.

Accommodation: We visit all accommodations that we recommend and can provide our insights into what might be more suitable.

Regions: We will advise you on appropriate Wilderness Areas in each of the Regions which could be incorporated into your itinerary.





Expertise: We are based in East Africa to provide you with accurate and up to date regional information. We will advise you on the various activities that you can include in your safari.

Planning: We will have continued communication throughout the planning of your safari and co-ordinate, manage all aspects of your trip - from the time you step off the plane until your departure.

Guides & Vehicles : We provide only experienced accredited Safari Guides and specially adapted 4x4 safari vehicles.

Readily Available: Our representatives will meet and assist you on arrival and are a phone call away with a 24 hours emergency contact and local support. A local sim card will be provided for you to make this more convenient.

Out Bound ToursIn addition our outbound department is able to offer you packaged or tailor-made tours to any part of the world. Our Tour Consultants are also able to advice on availability and rates of hotel and car-hire services offered worldwide via our reservation system.

The services , which are on offer, are not comprehensive but an indication of what we do and give to all our esteemed customers, be they individual, organization or groups of people who may need them.

Halifax Tours and Travel has excellent Car Rental Services. We maintain a fleet of TOYOTA PRADO -TZ (New Model, Eight airbags, DVD player and CD Changer), TOYOTA KLUGER 4 x4, and NISSAN X-TRAILS 4X4, clean saloon cars (available either on self drive or chauffeur driven). In addition, ALL our Cars are fully “air conditioned” with DVD players and fitted with a high frequency H/F radio.
