History
• Established as a private non-profit association; • Founded in 1992, inspired by Agenda 21, Rio Eco 92 (UN Earth Summit);
• Consists presently of 55 Hotels, Pousadas (Inns), Ecolodges and farms, selected
respecting their varied profiles, and maintaining their independence and individual personalities;
• Present in 47 Tourist Destinations in 15 States, with diverse ecosystems: Tropical Rainforest, Tropical Wetland, Savanna, Shrubland, Atlantic Forest, and including Costal Regions and Southern Plains
