Why Mersenne?Marin Mersenne (-) has been nicknamed “the secretary general of therepublic of scientific letters”, as he acted as a hub for scientific information of histime, just before the advent of journals and academies.

Publications are peer-reviewed research publications

The articles are selected on behalf of a competent, scientifically independenteditorial board

The editorial board owns its publication’s title

Journals web sites comply with OASPA’s “Principles of transparency and bestpractice in scholarly publishing”



Centre MersennePrinciples: Operational

Eventual open access is mandatory (reasonable moving wall)

Non profit operation

Authors transfer copyright to the extent necessary for operating (no exclusivetransfer required)

Diamond open access is strongly supportedThis means “Gold” without APC, hence no money needed to publish or read thepublications



Centre MersennePrinciples: Publishing practices

The web interface is based on two sets: texts (PDF) and metadata (XML)

Once published, texts can’t be modified

Metadata can be revised periodically (corrections, links. . . )
