Bringing heavy oil to lifeI am very excited to act as Chairman of the Technical Conference at Heavy Oil Latin America Conference & Exhibition. It is important that there is focus on Latin America with respect to heavy oil challenges and technology plays a vital role in the development of resources.
The Technical Committee has received over 100 abstracts submitted by authors from Latin America and beyond. We will select 80 of them to be presented at the conference. There will be concurrent sessions on a variety of topics that will be integral to bringing knowledge and information to the heavy oil community. Thank you to our Technical Committee, who have been instrumental in understanding the need to balance all of the challenges related to heavy oil and offer expertise from many areas of the supply chain. On behalf of the Committee, I invite you to register for this important event, which will bring you in-depth case studies, show best practices, and feature technologies that will be important to developing heavy oil resources, and thereby ensuring Latin America has a strong presence in the global market.

Latin America’s official event for the heavy oil communityThe growing importance of heavy oil has resulted in commercial organizations across the supply chain, as well as governments in Latin America, being forced to rethink their oil strategies and offshore and onshore E&P activity. Addressing the lack of infrastructure in the region, and new prospects arising from the Orinoco Belt, means there are great challenges and huge opportunities. Heavy Oil Latin America Conference & Exhibition will head to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico for the second conference focusing on heavy oil challenges and issues facing the region.
Produced by the organizers of the renowned World Heavy Oil Congress, Heavy Oil Latin America Conference & Exhibition will bring together hundreds of delegates for four days of Business Conference, Technical Conference and networking events.
