H.E.C was started to meet country's aspiration for
rapid industrialization and to meet the requirement in
steel sector.
G.O.I and U.S.S.R. developed the project with the co-
operation of the Soviet Government.

The plant was established in collaboration with SKODAEXPORT of
erstwhile CSSR.
2. H.M.B.P (HEAVY MACHINE BUILDING PLANT):
Designs and manufactures equipments and their components for Steel Plant,
Mining, Power, Cement, Aluminum, Space Research,
Nuclear Power etc.. The plant has floor area of 2,00,000 sq.m (fenced area of5,70,000 sq.m). (ISO 9001:2000)
3. H.M.T.P HEAVY MACHINE TOOLS PLANT :
Designs and manufactures medium & heavy duty CNC and conventional
