DESCRIPTION
Religious Studies (Islam) involves gaining and developing knowledge of key Muslim beliefs and practices. Students undertake an in-depth look at the life of Muhammad and the history of Islam. There is also be a requirement for independent research and further reading around the subject matter to develop students’ understanding. Students will need to be pro-active learners and will need to examine and analyse key issues in Islam. Students will also be required to be aware of key teachings in the Quran and Hadith, and be able to apply their understanding to topics being studied.TRANSCRIPT
