What does the Heartland CISMA do? Holds regular mee ngs to share informa on about inva‐sive species, grant opportuni es and networking. Conducts workshops on invasive species iden fica on and control methods, bringing in experts to address a wide range of invasive species issues. Helps raise awareness of emerging threats with priori ‐za on of new species to watch out for and crea on of iden fica on materials. Encourages repor ng invasive plants to the Early Detec‐

on & Distribu on Mapping System (www.IveGot1.org) and monitors alerts of new species reports for Early De‐tec on and Rapid Response efforts. Coordinates invasive plant and animal removal projects, par cularly for Rapid Response to new invasive species, in coordina on with the Ridge Rangers. Coordinates outreach and educa on efforts during Na‐

onal Invasive Species Awareness Week, including the Central Florida Invasive Species Workshop.
