Describing our Proposal

Our proposal is to put healthy vending machines in our school to replace the

unhealthy foods that we currently have.  The healthy vending machine

company that we would use is Yo! Naturals.

Disadvantages of Healthy Vending Machines

• Vending machines will cost our school money. • Uses a generous amount of energy (805 watts) • Vending machines will take up space. • Students may just replace the snacks from the

vending machines as lunch, costing our school more money by refilling the vending machines.

“These vending machines create and encourage a healthy environment that everyone can thrive on.”-Alfred Venzon

Positive Feedback• Hey everyone-

“We recently began our new healthy vending business and have begun placing machines. We have placed 8 machines and all have met or far exceeded our expectations. Our most successful machine was placed last Friday. It is located at a private school near our house. We finished filling it at around 11:30 on Friday, and had to restock the machine later that day! On Monday and Tuesday we also sold way beyond our expectations. Wednesday morning we filled the machine at 7:30 am and went back at 11 am and we already had to restock some coils...tomorrow we’ll see if we set another record! One month from placing our first machine we are averaging more than we thought we could at our locations. We are receiving very positive feedback from the locations and are happy with our decision to start our healthy vending business.”

• “I'm so excited! They need to have these everywhere...including college campuses where munchies can get the best of you. No more freshmen (sophomore, junior or senior for that matter) 15!

• “agreed!!i ALWAYS carry an array of snacks because I'm always at work or school or out, and will NOT succumb to snarfing down hostess cupcakes. the only thing I get out of a vending machine is coffee, and even then I'm a bit scared to know the nutritionals.”

• “luckily for me, the vending machines I'm surrounded by every day have nature's choice bars in them, so if I’m really hungry I'll grab one of those. usually i try to stay away from the machines though. “

Who decides what kinds of food go into our

school?• The state sets guidelines on what

types of foods the school are allowed to serve.

• The school committee then decides on what types of foods they want to have in the school.
