Healthy Living
By Olivia Attree
Purpose and Audience
• The purpose of my animation is to promote healthy living and eating. I have chosen this aspect of healthy living , because I think it would appeal more to my target audience, compared to smoking , or alcohol for example.
• My target audience is children aged 13 and below, i think my use of characters in the animation will appeal to the audience and make the idea of healthy living and eating more interesting and fun.
Slogan Ideas
• Eat the best , Leave the rest !• Give up the fat, watch your belly go
flat• Don’t wait to lose weight• Eat wise drop a size• A moment on the lips, lifetime on the
hips
My Message • My message is to encourage people to replace unhealthy snacks
and drink (chocolate, coke etc) with healthier options (water , apples etc).
• One can of soda contains 10 teaspoons of sugar and the average American adult drinks 500 cans of soda every year, estimating about 52 pounds of sugar consumed in soft drinks alone.
• The more fresh foods you consume, the healthier you will be. Foods that do not expire contain unnatural preservatives, additives, and chemicals that deteriorate your body.
• If people replaced their intake of coke , lemonade etc , with water , people would consume less sugar , and become healthier. Losing weight in the process , people would feel better about themselves.
• People would be better off if they were to replace unhealthy snacks with fresh fruit and vegetables. There is already facts to prove the benefits of fresh fruit and veg , and the disadvantages of fizzy drinks.
• This is aimed at teens and young adults , as then is when you would have the time to eat healthy and exercise.
Scene 1•Background with path and sky.
•Steve Strawberry walks across the stage and stands to the left side of the stage.
•Charlie Chocolate Bar walks across the stage , then stands to the right side of the stage.
Scene 2•Charlie Chocolate says that you should ‘STOP’(stop sign) eating snacks like him and crisps too often.
Scene 3•Steve Strawberry says you should eat fruit and vegetables like him , if you want to stay healthy and live long.
Scene 4•Charlie chocolate gives examples of things you can eat and do to make you become unhealthy and tells you not to do them.
Scene 5•Steve Strawberry gives examples of things you can eat and do to become healthy , and encourages you to do them
Scene 6 •There is a final message from both of the characters , quickly summing up what you should do if you wish to stay healthy and live long.
Techniques and any other information•Throughout all of these scenes , I would be using lip syncing , to make it seem as if the characters are talking.
•I will be using motion tweening to give the impression that my characters are moving from one part of the screen to the next.
•I could maybe include pan and zoom , to zoom in when one of the characters is speaking , or to pan and zoom on them as they are entering the stage.
My animation will last around 1 minute , as I want it to be informative , but I don’t want it to be to long so that the children lose interest quickly.
I will try to include happy music in the background , possibly a song that includes an instrument like a ukulele which often sounds very happy.

I chose my assets before I made my animation, but I only stuck to one of them. Afterwards I realised there were two versions of the chocolate bar which I wanted to use , so I used both of them. I also opted to use a different strawberry because it looked more healthy and better quality which promoted my healthy image a bit better.
What would I change?
• After making my animation , one of the things I would change is the font in which I wrote all of the advice and information I used. The font I chose to use was quite plain and boring , and would have attracted more interest if it was brighter , bigger and a more fascinating font.
• I would have also exaggerated the features and actions of the characters to suit the audience a bit better and hold their interest for a longer time.
• I think it may have been better if I had used lip sync so it looked like the characters were talking , rather than text appearing above them.
