OUR
MISSION by Paul Renson
“We develop innovative
products and systems
allowing for aesthetic
integration in every
building.”
RENSON® is innovation with a clear vision: ensuring the occupant’s
health and comfort, whilst taking energy efficiency and the added
value of aesthetics into consideration.
The continuous supply of fresh air and the extraction of
contaminated air through a demand-driven ventilation system
enable you to breathe healthy air at all times.
Intensive ventilation and exterior window blinds allow the warmth
of the sun to enter when required, but prevent unnecessary
cooling costs on warmer days.
The terrace coverings ensure a pleasant ambiance so you can
live outside throughout the year, without any hindrance from
excessive sun, rain, wind or cold.
Whether you want something eye-catching ... or not: aluminium
blades provide striking facades with straight continuous lines.
The ventilation and sunscreen systems are hardly noticeable
from the inside, while invisible door systems ensure that closed
doors and walls appear as one, without any disruptive frames and
hinges.

To achieve optimal living comfort, it is important to take account
of the orientation of the building, the influence of the different
seasons, and the lifestyle of the people who live or work in this
environment.
That’s why it’s important to evaluate the different systems during
the design phase and incorporate the most suitable elements
in the design. This ensures home owners optimum, long-term
enjoyment of their home.

WHYVENTILATE?
A house is alive. Its occupants pollute the indoor air by breathing and
sweating. However, their activities (cooking, showering, heating, smoking
etc.) as well as the house itself (volatile organic compounds such as
formaldehyde and terpenes) also contribute to inferior air quality. High
levels of insulation and insufficient ventilation produce musty, polluted air
and create a breeding ground for annoying moulds, viruses and bacteria.
Fluid accumulation, CO2 and high concentrations of dangerous gasses
(such as radon) are also among the risks.
In the long term, a poor indoor climate can damage the health of
the occupants. Respiratory problems, a dry throat, eye irritation,
headaches, allergies, loss of concentration, low energy or
sleepiness are only some of the possible effects. That is why it is
extremely important to ventilate thoroughly and regularly.

1250 ppm
950 ppm
650 ppm
Many people are convinced it is necessary to open the windows
from time to time to allow fresh air coming in. However, the
impact is temporary and local. Moreover, ventilating with open
windows is not controlled, which results in a loss of precious
energy. Open windows are also associated with noise and are an
invitation for burglars and annoying insects.
Demand controlled ventilation is your only guarantee of an
efficient and healthy indoor air quality.
GOOD FOR THE OCCUPANT AND THE HOUSE
11
Ventilation standards NBN D50-001 and NEN 1087/8088
define 4 systems: A, B, C and D
In addition to these systems, RENSON®
introduces demand-controlled ventilation called
System C+®EVO and system E+®
System A: Natural supply, natural extraction
System B: Mechanical supply, natural extraction
System C: Natural supply, mechanical extraction (MEV)
System D: Mechanical supply, mechanical extraction (MVHR)
System C+®EVO: Natural supply, demand-controlled mechanical extraction (DCV)
System E+®:
Natural supply, demand-driven mechanical extraction with heat recovery for warm sanitary water and low temperature heating (MVHR)
A ventilation system with natural fresh air supply has many
benefits. It is a healthy choice first and foremost because the
fresh air is supplied directly. This also saves energy immediately,
because a natural flow of fresh air means no energy is required.
Thanks to its simplicity in design, the system is also particularly
maintenance-friendly.

VENTILATION:SUPPLY/TRANSIT/EXTRACTION
People themselves are not able to detect changes in air quality.
So we can’t detect when certain concentrations of CO2 or VOC
become too high. We therefore can’t expect the occupants of
a house to assess how much ventilation is required to achieve
a healthy indoor air quality.

FLOW
That is why it is important for the level of ventilation to be
adapted automatically to the ventilation needs. The ventilation
level can be automatically adapted to anticipate the different
phases of the day using integrated, intelligent sensors in the
central demand-controlled ventilation unit. This automatic
adaptation saves 30 to 50% of energy as compared with a
permanent ventilation flow.
THE IMPORTANCE OFDEMAND-CONTROLLED VENTILATION.
Correct ventilation is required to achieve optimum indoor air quality.
First it is important to extract polluted air from rooms and ensure it is
replaced with fresh air.

DEMAND-CONTROLLEDMECHANICAL VENTILATION
SmartZone technology
Up to 8 rooms can be connected using the Healthbox® SmartZone. This means that bedrooms can also be ventilated alongside
wet rooms, resulting in an even better air quality in the bedrooms. Optimum air quality with a low CO2- concentration guarantees
a healthy night’s rest.
Demand-controlled ventilation
The Healthbox® screens air quality for CO2 or moisture and/or
VOC (fragrance) 24 hours a day in every wet room. The extraction
flow is fully automatic depending on the measured air quality
using a demand-controlled process. If the air in a wet room is
still of good quality, then the extraction in that room is reduced,
ensuring maximum energy savings. The Healthbox® is standard
equipped with 6 connections, while the Healthbox® SmartZone
has 8 connections.
Thanks to the automatic commissioning system, manual setting
of the ventilation system belongs to the past.

Ventilation and heating in harmony
The Endura® is a sustainable development combining demand-
controlled ventilation with heat pump technology. Demand-controlled
ventilation guarantees healthy indoor air quality with a low energy
output, while heat pump technology produces heat with a high output
for low temperature heating and warm sanitary water.

26
Via an intelligent air control the extracted ventilation air is supplied
to the inlet of the heat pump together with the outside air. This
produces a mixed air flow with higher inlet pressure. The heat
of the exhaust air is thus recovered and converted intelligently
and with a high return (approx. 400% on average) to useful heat
at the required temperature. By combining demand-controlled
ventilation with heat pump technology, the incorporated heat
pump will therefore work at a higher output (COP) than a
conventional heat pump. Intelligent air regulation predicts that
ventilation extraction flow takes place independently of the
requested heating requirement.
The Endura® contains a 300-litre integrated boiler. This allows
for warm sanitary water for a family of 4 to 6 persons. Another
benefit of the boiler is that is recovers and stores much of the
heat from the extracted air. Water can be heated economically
with a limited energy consumption.
This sustainable technology ensures that the Endura® can be
used as renewable energy source. System® E+ as a comfort
solution can be applied both in new built and renovated houses.
A hybrid solution
In a well-insulated low-energy home, the Endura® can take care of up to 80% of the heating capacity. In order to provide 100%
heating capacity the Endura is combined in a hybrid solution with an outside heating boiler (gass, oil, pellets etc.). The integrated
RENSON® Energy Analyser is designed to select the most economical energy source of the hybrid solution. Programme the energy
prices into the service and the Endura® guarantees the lowest energy bill.

ventilative cooling
29
With ventilative cooling, large natural air flows are conducted
into the house via louvres. This air circulation extracts warm
air thus cooling the house. The night coolness is stored in
thermal mass of the house and is released during the day,
creating a pleasant indoor climate. And this is all completely
free of charge. To use nightcooling in a house, one or more
louvres are located outside the window. Ventilative cooling
requires high airflows.
That is the reason for selecting louvres with a large air
throughput, which also ventilate reliably. The louvres are water
and insect proof thanks to the design of the blades and inte-
grated insect screen. This allows the windows to be open at
night in order to cool the room. In new buildings, nightcooling
is built into the design of the house. In existing houses a louvre
can simply be installed in front of each opening window.
VENTILATION:VENTILATIVE COOLING
WHY CHOOSEVENTILATIVE COOLING?
Ventilative cooling, also known as “nightcooling,” is the principle where
cooler outside air is used to naturally cool down the house.
Louvre type 431This built-in louvre ensures
secure ventilation of your home.
Louvre type 432To ensure increased light inflow in winter, and for temporary removal, the RENSON®
louvre is simply removable. The louvreis fixed from the inside to ensure
risk-free ventilation.

proof louvre is used for ventilative cooling.

WHYSOLAR CONTROL?
To save energy is one of the key
challenges in new construction and
renovation. Windows play a vital role
in this process.
Large glass panels are frequently chosen in contemporary
architecture. Today’s high-performance glazing ensures good
insulation and plenty of natural daylight guarantees optimal
energy consumption and increased comfort in the home.
Artificial, energy-intensive light does not suit pleasant, bright
living spaces. During the winter months, a low sun also ensures
pleasant warmth in the house, which means there is less need
to use heating.
Everyone knows, however, that the sun can also influence the in-
door climate less positively. Excessive sunlight can cause over-
heating, disruptive reflections on screens and discoloration of
the furniture and decor.
An efficient outdoor sunscreen - solar control blades for the
frame, brise-soleil above the window, sliding panels and wind-
resistant screens - enables the occupants to enjoy the sun at any
time of the day. These systems stop the sun rays from heating
the indoor air, without disturbing the view of the garden.
COMFORT TAILORED TO EACH SEASON
“Outside solar control,
guaranteeing comfort
at 3 levels: thermal
comfort, visual comfort
and aesthetic comfort.”
31
WinterWhen there is a low-lying sun it is important to maximise solar gains (warmth and light) to increase comfort and limit energy loss.
SummerWhen the sun is high in the sky it is necessary to limit solar gains using an efficient outdoor sunscreen. The application of screens and awnings avoids energy-wasting cooling and limits disruptive reflections without losing the view of the garden.

SOLAR CONTROL FABRIC TYPOLOGY
Sunscreens use technical textiles which keep out the excessive heat and
the bright light of the sun. An outside canvas screen reduces the effect of
overheating. The warm sun rays are stopped before they reach the glass.
Beside this functional role, the fabric also fulfills a decorative role. Colour
determines the heat transmission, the filtering of light, protection against
UV rays and the colour of light.
Fibreglass fabric
This fabric screen is made of fibreglass threads with a PVC
coating. A fibreglass fabric is rigid, impervious to moist, heat
and rot, and colourfast. Fibreglass fabric has 2 sides: confec-
tion 1 and confection 2. Both can be used as outside visibility
of the screen fabric.
Light-block
Light-block is a fully darkening polyester fabric Soltis (B92).
This is a fine polyester mesh fabric with a fire-resistant
PVC coating (fire classification M2) produced according to
the précontraint method. The back is also equipped with a
blackout coating.
Insect screen
In the case of products with Fixscreen® technology, it is possi-
ble to use insect screen (Mesh 18x16).
Soltis Polyster fabric
This type of fabric is made of a finely woven mesh equipped
with a PVC coating (fire classification M1) according to the
précontraint method. This produces an extremely stable and
non-deformable fabric with a long service life.

vide a design solution. The Panovista® is a sunscreen for cor-
ner windows, without the need for unpleasant aluminium pro-
files or cables permanently visible in the corner. Both sides of
the system are simultaneously rolled up or down, and as such
provide the desired shade for a living or working space, with-
out losing the view of the panorama around the building. This
solution is almost invisibly integrated into the architecture of

VERTICAL STRUCTURAL ALUMINIUM SOLAR CONTROL
Fixed design
This can be achieved in 2 ways:
1. Cassette: the blades are screwed between individual or
shared mullions and attached to the building with the mul-
lions fixed to the building structure. Whether or not under a
certain angle of inclination.
2. Quickfix®: the patented Quickfix® system allows rapid and
simple installation of blades to be clipped into blade sup-
ports. This concept makes it possible to work in a single
line without disturbing connection elements. It also allows
a controlled and smooth dilation of the blades without cre-
ating tensions on the supporting structure and underlying
façade.
Movable design
In many situations, the combination of requirements in terms
of shading, light and transparency do not allow the selection of
a fixed brise-soleil structure. In these cases several movable
systems are possible, such as a brise-soleil with movable
blades. Such shading is fully controllable and thus enables
the windows to be fully shielded of the glare of the sun. When
the sun is high in the sky or on cloudy days, the solar control
can be opened, allowing good visibility again. Closed position
allows complete discretion.
Where disturbing light should be avoided during the whole year in addition to overheating during summer, vertical solar control
provides the best solution. In places where visibility is of minor importance, you can opt for a fixed version. The degree of
transparency is determined by the type of product used.

LOGGIA®
FLEXGUIDE®
Multipurpose façade elements
For simple and flexible use
Aesthetic quality finish
BENEFITS
Height deviations up to 50mm
Discrete installation
Maintenance free
BENEFITS
The Loggia® sliding panels combine functionality of an effi-
cient sunscreen panel with the elegant look and aesthetic
design within a high-quality and contemporary concept. The
occupant can alter the light in the rooms by moving the panels
(= dynamic solar control).
The Loggia® panels are constructed from aluminium frames
with screens, aluminium or wood blades. Loggia® Privacy is
an option that allows to control the horizontal blades of the
panels to control sun light and discretion. Loggia® Privacy
exists with wooden or aluminium blades.
Flexguide® is a self-regulating under-guide
which adapts under feather tension to une-
venness such as slopes, building tolerance,
thermal dilatation etc. It makes filling in the
under-guide profile on slopes (up to 50mm)
redundant.
The under-guide profile must simply be
fixed onto the base. The Flexguide® spring
pin must always remain in contact with the
under guide profile, also on sloping or not
completely flat surfaces or if the dimen-
sions change as a result of e.g. temporary
loads or thermal dilatation.

TERRACECOVERINGS
Whatever the weather, we like to spend as much time as possible out-
side. Our gardens are no longer separate from our houses. Together they
are one. That is why we long for more atmosphere, comfort and optimum
lifestyle pleasure. Being outside becomes living outside!
Who wants to live outside has to consider
nature’s elements. If the sun becomes too
hot, it starts to rain, or the wind suddenly
blows harder, we have to run inside. Or don’t
we? Terrace coverings are the solution.
Available in all colours, adapted to the style
of the house, free-standing or fixed to the
house or an existing (roof) structure.

Integrated lighting Audio and heating
Translucent blade Lineo® Luce Side elements
These comfortable outside spaces ensure
a good atmosphere, but also warmth and
cosiness. When it gets darker at night,
simply switch on the integrated lighting.
Even if it gets colder, you can still stay
comfortably outside. Depending on the size
of the terrace covering, one or more heating
elements can be included. You can even play
your favourite music on the terrace thanks
to the incorporated flat panel speakers.

FAÇADE &INDOOR
RENSON® also thinks about the durable aesthetic finish of the façade
and indoor. We include architectural cladding of the façade, which
makes a house really stand out in the street. The ventilation and solar
control, on the other hand, are hardly noticeable inside. And thanks to the
invisible door systems, we perfectly anticipate recent developments in
minimalistic and pure architecture in contemporary homes.
Aluminium blades add a unique and pure look to the outdoor
façade of your home. The Linius® wall-mounted blade system
ensures continuous façades with clean lines into which even
the doors and garage doors can be integrated. Available in all
possible RAL colours, adapted to the joinery of the façade.
Even if the façade stands out, interiors are increasingly have a
clean and sober design.
The inconspicuous integration of ventilation and sunscreens
also follows this pattern. That is why ventilation ventilators
have evolved the last years from large block-systems on the
glass to discrete flap gratings, such as the Invisivent®EVO, which
are positioned almost invisibly on the window profile.
RENSON® also considers the uniformity of its systems allowing
the design of the ventilation and solar control system to be
perfectly coordinated.
‘Discrete interior doors’ – the trend for a timeless interior
with a consistent minimalist design. The invisible door sys-
tem perfectly anticipates this recent development. Thanks to
this system, the door blends into the wall, without disturbing
frames and hinges.
The Invisidoor® is an invisible aluminium frame for interior
doors, which can be painted to match walls perfectly and is
equipped with a magnetic lock, detachable acoustic seal as
a door buffer, and invisible 3D-adjustable hinges of argenta®.
Thanks to these hinges, the outside cylinder of the door,
usually seen on the outside of the door, is no longer visible.
