1 Use an office chair at your desk that inspires as diverse a range of motion as possible.

Thanks to their three-dimensional elasticity, the backrests perfectly adapt to your body shape. The extendable, ergo-nomically supportive pull-out seat section with its breath-able upholstery can be changed while sitting down. The angle of the pelvic support automatically adapts to the setting made. The extendable crank to adjust the counter pressure is conveniently placed and integrated in a form-fit manner. A range of classic office chairs that has written history. Three decades on it’s still one of the world’s best. In terms of encouraging movement, extreme durability and ease of use, the FS-line remains exemplary up to the present day. The office chair line was called after the initials of its designers and revolutionised dynamic seating worldwide. The idea was to remove the complexity from seating. And what could be more up to date today given new organisational and room concepts, such as the activity based workplace, project teams or co-working? The elegant silhouette of the highly elastic seat and backrest shell persists in the swivel arms. Affixed to the frame with only two screws, the shell provides support to the opening angles and movements. The Aline range sets a new milestone in comfortable and attractive furnishing that requires a professional touch. The skid-base form-fit stackable chair lies at the core. Graph.

The Graph range provides the perfect combination of conference chairs and tables. Because the distinctive, multi-award-winning seating concept is cleverly reflected in the table systems. Straight edges and fluid lines, flat and curved surfaces, soft and hard features intermingle so that seat body and frame become a harmonious unit. The shapes of the cross-sections in the sloping table legs and the aluminium underframes also create light lines which suggests an impression of weightless elegance. The idea of cutting through a seat shell horizontally and vertically and then reassembling it in a different way spawned the unmistakable shape of the chairs. The arm-rests become the key link between the backrest frame and the seat which is affixed flexibly at the front on a Y-shaped bracket and supported at the back by a central leaf spring. The visual impression is enforced due to the unusually high comfort attained. This is a result of the sophisticated upholstery on the seat and backrest frame. Used for the first time in this way, the leaf spring guaran-tees three-dimensional stability without mechanical com-ponents of any sort. Keeping body and mind in top form.

There are many ways of matching Graph with specific interior design concepts. Frames coated in different col-ours, high-quality textile coverings and glass tops coated white or black on the bottom look fresh and modern. Bright chrome-plated surfaces with superb leather and coated or wood-veneer MDF table tops on the other hand tend to emphasise an elegant prestige. Two back-rest heights and optional glides or castors open up a range of different applications. Table sizes and systems range from 120 x 120 to 540 x 230 centimetres. Chassis.

Four-legged Chassis is causing quite a stir in the international designer world. Because the organically fluid, clear-cut design of the frame is a result of deep-drawing procedures that are well known in modern automotive manufacturing. The lightweight steel sheet frame with legs welded on invisibly combines elastic comfort, durability and strength with precise and elegant forms. With membrane-like seat and backrest-shells models are produced that set any design concept apart. Whether in monochrome or through-dyed leather shell, or two-tone and covered with different textiles or leather upholstery – Chassis assumes its own personality. It appears in meeting rooms, canteens, customer service areas and hotel rooms, attics and conference spaces. Design: Stefan Diez, 2008/2010

The press stretches the fine metal sheet at 30 tonnes of pressure to form the seat and backrest frame. The distortion creates stability without the need for very thick material. The lasered pieces of metal are used for the connecting points of the legs and are welded to the frame by robot. The exchangeable seat membrane is applied to the frame using patented bonding technology. Chassis is durable and can be modified and recycled. It’s also made efficiently from merely two different materials. It’s a pacesetter for sustainable industrial design.

The four-legged upholstered chair combines the pure functionality of a comfortable conference chair, with six are stackable on top of one another and the stylishness of a dining room seat. The clear silhouette is enhanced by carefully detailed, soft modelling. The attractive form is matched by first-class quality. The solid aluminium frame, the elastic, upholstered backrest shell and the breathable seat cushions make the chair very comfortable even during long conferences. Sito stands for a reinterpretation of the traditional steel tube cantilever chair. Self-supporting, elastic backrest and seat areas are inserted into the support structure with its tube frame and stylish flat steel braces. The slimmer tube cross sections in this bridge-like design enhance the rocking effect and comfort. Sito is superb on its own or in combination with the Wilkhahn office chair and table ranges. It’s distinctive and very comfortable with all the characteristics of a cantilever chair. Three backrest heights, different types of upholstery and armrest pads fulfil virtually every wish. As regards the models with black or white through-dyed armrest pads, seat and backrest shells, the backrest either comes with fabric-covered flat cushions or without upholstery. The chairs are optionally stackable and can be fitted with writing tablets, numbered or linked to form a row. Con-sequently they’re ideal for presentations, seminars or training sessions. The models with flat cushions sewn into the coverings combine Sito‘s stylish elegance with a luxurious, exclusive appeal. Seat and backrest shells are

covered in fabric or leather, the armrests are available in plastic, veneered laminated wood or with leather. They cut a dash in a conference setting or at the dining table at home. With club-grade upholstery Sito becomes a can-tilever chair with a certain cachet. The upholstered arm-rests, seat and back rest shells are fully leather covered. Additional cushioning ensures the chair is healthy, cool and pleasant to sit on. With all the many seminars, workshops and project meetings that take place nowadays, it‘s vital to encourage people to be physically active. In a nutshell, this means leaving behind rigid conference types and embracing scenarios where physical input is required. This approach keeps people healthy and boosts efficiency. Because the input provided and long-term impression gained is likely to be greater if more senses are stimulated. Which is why 20 years ago Wilkhahn invented tables that can be moved about and folded, with swivel tables following at a later date. Their designs are top class and reflect the importance placed on communications and change processes. Timetable. Timetable Shift.

After designing the Confair folding table, the same designer came up with Timetable and Timetable Shift and again enhanced the usage concepts of multi-purpose training and conference rooms. In both ranges, the table top can be swivelled upwards in just one simple step. Timetable offers compact dimensions and the foot section with lockable castors turn in automatically too. As a result, the tables are easy to move from room to room and extremely compact to stack. Its big brother Timetable Shift perfectly complements the design of the Confair folding table and Logon table range. All three types of table (foldable, static and swivel-mounted) can be combined with one another and make a big difference to the versatility of prestigious conference rooms. As a static type in the same design, the Logo range offers table solutions that are the last word in terms of ultimate perfection and superior design. Flexible office spaces require simple, four-legged tables for working, meetings, study-ing, eating or partying. With its round table legs and rounded table corners, Concentra is an excellent choice for a variety of different design concepts. With its square table legs and tight corner radii, Conversa is more suitable for backdrops where a more linear look is required. Both are based on a modular system which thanks to precise and slimline cross-sections generate stability and produce the floating characteristic of the table tops. Palette looks like an elegant archetypal table that is set to endure thanks to impeccable details and its solid table top with no underframe that rests on four column-shaped, table legs flush with the edge of the table top. Stitz 2.

Stitz 2 inspires a range of motion from standing and sitting positions. Because this one-legged piece of furniture is not for sitting down on, but for wedging diagonally against the buttocks. The height of the round seat is intuitive to adjust to alter the support angle. A study by the Centre of Health at the German Sport University Cologne confirms that Stitz activates our metabolic functions, enhances our sense of equilibrium and gives our muscles something to do without overtaxing them. Reduced to the max this design icon is an impressive must-have for people working in offices, studios, doctors’ surgeries or holding presentations at lecterns. Asienta.

The chair and sofa range mixes a prestigious appeal with stand-out design and comfort that’s second to none. With their classy covers, the cubes look as if they’re wrapped in one piece of fabric. The upholstery’s thin and flat on the outside, with a defined curve on the inside. It looks soft, but is firm and offers comfortable support for different seating posi-tions. The extremely tough, four-legged structure makes large spans possible. Therefore, three-seaters and upholstered benches with backrests, as well as side tables to match with tops made of wood veneer or single-pane reinforced glass are also available in addition to the stand-alone chairs and two-seater sofas. Velas.

Velas makes informal communication spaces enjoyable places to work and spend time in. The fluid transition of front legs via the side sections to the rear horizontal brace, create a deliberately informal, but superior look. The covered seat frame with the bent-over backrest at the top is also an unusual touch. The upholstery made of lined knitted fabric has different levels of elasticity which offer superb comfort.
