o Deliver high quality hands-on, interdisciplinary training to the Healthcare Workforce.

o Perform Training of Trainers for simulation based education

o Develop and Provide Novel Innovative Technologies that are safe, affordable and for use in the Indian context

o Provide Practical Training to ensure Optimal Use of Equipment and Resources – Train in the Usage of Equipment and Resources – Train in the Usage of Medical Equipment, Drug Administration Protocols and Optimal Use of Existing Resources.

Some likely Candidates for development of QPs/NOS

1. Accredited Social Health Activist (ASHA)

Support Allied health workers engaged in National health programmes at village

level. They act as health counsellors to local communities and provide

healthcare in the form of essential supplies and referrals.

2. Emergency Medical Technician (EMT)

Provide emergency medical support and care to individuals who are critically ill

or injured and transport them to a medical facility within stipulated time limits.

3. General Duty Assistant (GDA)

Provide patient care and help to maintain a suitable environment. Some of the

key responsibilities of the GDA are to provide daily care, safety, comfort and

health needs of patient.

4. Dietary Assistant

Provide support to dieticians in planning, preparing and serving meals to

patients with specific dietary and nutritional needs.

5. OT technician

Prepare and maintain operating theatres and equipment, and assist surgical

and anaesthetic teams during operations.

11. Rehabilitation Therapists

Support individuals to recover from an illness or traumatic condition

and treat for physical, psychological, or emotional problems.

12. Dialysis Technician

Operates and maintains dialysis equipment for patients with kidney

diseases.

13. Speech Language Pathologist /Audiologist

Provide treatment, prevention, identification and evaluation of

congenital, acquired communication and swallowing disorders.

14. Histotechnologists

Prepare histologic slides from tissue sections for microscopic

examination and diagnosis by pathologists.

15. Dental Laboratory Technicians6. Medical Laboratory Technologist

Perform diagnostic laboratory procedures, monitor the performance of tests,

and perform routine preventive maintenance and troubleshoots instrument

problems.

7. Optometrist

Diagnose and treat eye diseases & disorders, check for vision correction

requirement, and prescribe eyeglasses or contact lenses, if required.

8. Dental Assistant

Provides support to the dentist to enable dental procedures to be completed in

a timely, efficient and safe manner.

9. Radiographer

Produce diagnostic radiographs, develop x-ray films and provide support to

radiologist in special procedures.

10 Cardiac Care Technician

Assist in performing invasive and non-invasive diagnostic examinations and

therapeutic interventions of the heart and/or blood vessels.

15. Dental Laboratory Technicians

Provide dental prosthesis to dentists for their patients by replacing

parts of teeth, whole teeth.

16. Cardiopulmonary Perfusion Technologist

Support normal functioning of the heart and lungs during open-heart

surgery.

17. Health Educator

Promote, maintain, and improve individual and community health by

assisting individuals and communities to adopt healthy behaviors.

18. Anaesthesia Technician

Support anesthesiologists with setting up equipment, providing

supplies and ensuring careful patient care.

19. Respiratory Therapist

Provide care to patients with breathing problem, and emergency care

to ones suffering from heart attacks, stroke, drowning, or shock.

20. Physiotherapist

Provide care to patients affected by injury, illness or disability through

movement and exercise, manual therapy, education and advice.
