Celebrate National Resident Attendant Week June 15 - 22, 2017
As members of our nursing team, you play an important part in improving people’s lives with caring from your heart. Whenever others are in need, we know that you’ll be there with dedication that helps us provide the very best resident care. “Thank You” to our Resident Attendants for a job well done from the staff and residents of Roy-alton Woods!

Resident Rights
Each month, we explain how Royalton Woods imple-ments your rights into your community.
Right to choose religion: Church services are held on a
regular basis. Members of the clergy are not limited
to visiting hours. Residents are encouraged to partici-
pate in observation of religious obligations and activi-
ties. Meetings with social and community groups are
encouraged.
What’s Cooking

With the warm weather rapidly approaching, it’s time to start grilling again. Grilling not only adds an extra layer of flavor to food, it can lead to a healthier meal. Here are just a few items to be on the lookout for on your summer menu:
Chicken - Lean chicken breasts not only taste great when grilled but are low in fat. They can be used in a sandwich, as an entrée or on top of a nice fresh salad.
Turkey and Salmon Burgers – A great alternative to the usual beef burger.
Salads – An excellent way to eat more fruits and vege-tables when they are at their peak freshness.
Corn – One of our favorites, even better when fin-ished on the grill!
There are endless possibilities for a combination of great summer flavors. It’s a good time to try something new, you never know what could become your new favorite!

It seems that everything gets planned during the month of June to kick off the summer. Please don’t forget that if you are going to be out in the sun to drink plenty of fluids and wear sunscreen. We want you to have a happy, healthy summer!
We also celebrate National Resident Attendant Week June 15-22. We can’t begin to thank this group of hard-working staff for the true compassion they show to our residents. Please make sure you take a moment to thank them for the job they do.
We would like to congratulate all of our high school graduates. It takes courage to grow up and be who you really are, and we are all very proud of who you’ve become. We wish you the very best in the future!
In closing, I would like to wish our gentlemen a Hap-py Father’s Day. Please join our celebration on June 17 at 2 p.m. with entertainment by Wayne Tomsic. The tables will be reserved for our gentlemen, but ladies are welcome to sit along the edges of our Community Room and enjoy the show.
Respite/Short-Term Stay Retirement Living At Its Best
A temporary Respite Stay at Royalton Woods might be what you are looking for. Respite Stay is a short-term stay in one of our charming furnished suites. We pro-vide meals, personal care and supportive services; you bring your own personal belongings and medications. Respite Stay, for some, is a nice way to try our services at Royalton Woods in order to see what we are all about. Respite Stay for others is an opportunity to re-ceive assistance while recovering from an illness, or maybe just a short visit while family members are on vacation. For more information on our Respite Stay, or to make reservations (based on availability), please call Linda or Connie at (440) 582-4111.

It’s that time of year again! As you de-clutter your
life, consider donating your unnecessary items to
Royalton Woods. We’re already accepting dona-
tions for our annual fundraising Garage Sale on July
20. All proceeds benefit the Activities Department.
We are also proud to be an official donation site of
the North Royalton Lions Club, so send over those
unneeded or outdated glasses and give back to
those in need in our community. Are you looking
to change your houseplants? Have your Easter
flowers seen better days? Are your old hanging
baskets weighing your landscape down? Consider
donating your unwanted plants and supplies to the
Gardening Club. Thank you for your generosity!
