fighting against cardiovascular risks (including diabetes)
• Diabetes (only) : insulin and drugs for free
• Health education included but not effective
• Despite these efforts, diabetes still causes: Cardiovascular disease Blindness Kidney failure And disability

• 346 million people worldwide suffer from diabetes
• In 2004, about 3.4 million people died of diabetes complications
• Over 80% of diabetes deaths occur in low and middle income countries
• Diabetes is responsible for 10,000 amputations per year in the world
• First cause of blindness before age of 50

According to national survey of cardiovascular risks in 2007:
• Prevalence of diabetes : 7.7%• Over 50% of these people are unaware
of their disease

• In 2010: 10 865 diabetics (6048 type 2)
• Prevalence : 1,33%• 118 Health centers, Drugs for free• Obstacles:
