Data is growing by 40% annually Gradually reaching 45ZB (IBM, 2013)

When big data is mentioned, size is what easily comes to mind

What exactly is Big Data?

“A large volume of high velocity, complex, and variable data that require advanced techniques and technologies to enable the capture, storage, distribution, management, and analysis of the information” (Tech America Foundation, 2012)

Conclusion

Health data is big, but not as compared to other data rich domain, because HD potential benefits have not been fully optimized.
