Chemical Industries Strategy: Key Goal 1

• Initial integrity

Assurance that the installation is fit for purpose at the start.


• Ageing plant

Ageing plant includes decision on plant life extension, alternative technologies decommissioning.


• Control of production

Use of systems/procedures that keep the installation operating within its design envelope, during normal running, and start-up and shutdown.


• Maintenance of integrity

Keeping the installation, its plant and equipment fit for purpose. (This includes planned maintenance, inspection, testing, breakdown repair, like-for-like replacement, and risk reviews.)

• Management of Change

Making sure change is well planned & implemented, and does not compromise safety
