What is HEAL India?HEAL India, an initiative by Diana Princess of Wales Health Education & Media Centre and The Leprosy Mission Trust India (TLMTI), is here to eradicate ignorance and the misconceptions surrounding leprosy. HEAL stands for Hire, Educate, Accept Leprosy–affected.

leprosy through opportunities to build their skills

and access to jobs.

• Building the skills of people affected by leprosy and their children

• Connecting them to vocational courses sponsored by corporates

• Connecting them to hiring opportunities at public and private enterprises

• Creating an inclusive hiring environment through a corporate charter with industry bodies

Hiring to HEAL through:

Using kid-friendly communication tools to reach out to schools and children

Reaching out to 40 schools across Delhi with Educate to HEALOver 500 students per school. Over 20,000 children.

• For the last 139 years, The Leprosy Mission has touched over 305 million people across 33 countries through over 200 programmes.

• The Leprosy Mission Trust India works in partnership with the Government of India, NLEP, WHO and other international development organizations, for the cause of leprosy.
