Bronte School Headmaster’s Newsletter 56 11 December 2015 Year 6 Enterprise - Year 6 set up a stall selling various things during break this morning. They raised a total of £135. Well done and thank you. School Council - Bronte School's School Council, which is made up of two representatives from each class from Year 1 to Year 6 along with our Head Boy and Head Girl, raised money earlier in the term from a cake sale. The proceeds were used to purchase some luxury festive food items which were made up into hampers and delivered by the children to the Salvation Army, Ellenor and a local care home. The hampers were well-received and the children thoroughly enjoyed lending a helping hand to others in our locality. Congregational carols were beautifully accompanied by the Salvation Army Band, who also played during the distribution at the end of the service of the Christingles to each member of the school. Thank you to everyone for your kind donations. We raised a fabulous amount of £325.00, which will be equally split between St. Georges Church and the Salvation Army. Christmas Fun Day - Fun was had by all today! A wonderful pantomime, Peter Pan, was watched by the whole school, and judging from the cheers and laughter, the children had a great time. Infants Slumber Party - Nearly 40 children from Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 appeared in night attire, and laying out sleeping bags, pillows and blankets, settled down for a showing of “Minions”.
