head shoulders knees and toes 2 (1)
TRANSCRIPT
Heads,
Shoulders,
Knees, and
Toes
Playing and learning are both com-
pletely normal, as it allows toddlers to
develop their physical skills.
Toddlers learn important physical skills
while they are playing, such as: muscle
control, balance, and coordination.
At this early age, kids establish patterns
of activity that carry through the rest of
childhood.
The more active your toddler, the more likely he/she will remain active throughout their life span.

What to do at home
Introduction: Walk to school with child, go out-side to parks, extra curriculum ac-tivities that offer sports
Set an example: Limit TV, be enthusiastic, do family activities (like game night) Make TV and fun equal: Take electronics out of room, offer TV OR computer each day, not both. Be active during commer-cials, talk to them about the posi-tives about the outdoors, register for sports teams, go to child's games, physical activity each weekend
