Dear Readers,

Welcome to the month of February with one more issue of our newsletter. Do you know what the specialty of this month? Well, worldwide this month is recognized for love. Love indeed stands for many things. But do you know love can make the world go round? Can you think of one conflict that would not be resolved if love was allowed to rule? Love is being completely selfless; it is to radiate energy so powerful that it could, if we let, it will stop conflict and violence throughout the world. Violence and hate end where love begins, they cannot exist or compete with love. Love is far stronger than hate, fear or despair. That is not wishful thinking, it is a fact. Yet, sometimes we let love out of our lives thinking we can survive without it, but we are wrong.

Food for Thought

Time to smile

Where there is love there is harmony and balance in the world. Where it is absent there is misunderstanding, hatred, fear and jealousy. We all possess the gift to love. Love costs nothing but it requires courage, belief, and understanding. That understanding is this: loving is easy, it is free and at the end of day it is up to us how we look at it.

Fall in love and we have the energy to work day and night, to move mountains. There is a fountain of love energy in every person. Depression, illness, and anxiety can all be battled against with love. Negative thoughts can be changed into positive ones. Love is simply the most powerful force in all our lives. We can let this force work for us or try and repress it.

You can let love into your life or pretend that it does not exist. Doing so will only make you the most miserable lonely figure of despair. Love, because you want to change things. Love will alter the way you see the world and through that the way the world is. Love, not because you expect something in return. Love what you do. Love to learn new things, to meet and to know others, to understand and to help. Love makes the world go round and we are the reason to do it so.

This is my FAVORITE Newspaper reuse idea…turn your newspaper into wrapping paper…you can use the comics, or game pages, or even the stock report…whatever section you use, it makes a super cute gift!  AND ITS FREE!!!

Use it in your attic for insulation…ok, I know there are better ways to insulate, but in a pinch… shove a piece in that drafty attic window and yippee…temporary fix!

ENVIRONMENT NEWSGreat Ways to Re-Use Your Newspapers! With all the great coupons comes a whole lot of excess newspapers…The most common thing to do is throw your paper in the recycling bin… Well, here are some great ways to use your newspaper.

Use it for compost!   Composting is a great way to keep garbage & newspapers out of landfills… to make compost you need a good mix of carbon rich materials and nitrogen rich materials….so you can recycle your food scraps such as egg shells and fruit peeling & rinds as well as use shredded newspaper… Newspaper is carbon rich material so its a great addition to the compost mix.  You can tear it into strips or run it thru a paper shredder & mix it in.

Use your old newspapers as mulch or a weed barrier in your garden. You can lay down a layer of newspaper on all of the exposed areas of dirt in your garden….Not only does this help block weeds from getting thru but as you water the garden, the newspaper naturally decomposes and adds nutrients to the soil! (this really works!!)

Use Newspaper as pet bedding!  In place of buying bedding or training pads for your pets like hamsters, guinea pigs, and puppies, birds or cat… You can use newspapers to line the cages…or put it thru the paper shredder to make a fluffy bedding.

Use newspaper to help remove odors from sneakers…just crumple it up and put it in, it will absorb some of the moisture and odor…you can also stuff if into old luggage or trunks to help them from getting a musty smell.  In fact, if you have plastic food containers that are stinky, you can put crumpled newspaper in them and seal them for a few days and the scent disappears.

The 4 Wives Once upon a time there was a rich King who had four wives. He loved the 4th wife the most and adorned her with rich robes and treated her to the finest of delicacies. He gave her nothing but the best. He also loved the 3rd wife very much and was always showing her off to neighboring kingdoms. However, he feared that one day she would leave him for another. He also loved his 2nd wife. She was his confidant and was always kind, considerate and patient with him. Whenever the King faced a problem, he could confide in her, and she would help him get through the difficult times. The King's 1st wife was a very loyal partner and had made great contributions in maintaining his wealth and kingdom. However, he did not love the first wife. Although she loved him deeply, he hardly took notice of her! .

One day, the King fell ill and he knew his time was short. He thought of his luxurious life and wondered, "I now have four wives with me, but when I die, I'll be all alone." Thus, he asked the 4th wife, "I have loved you the most, endowed you with the finest clothing and showered great care over you. Now that I'm dying, will you follow me and keep me company?" "No way!", replied the 4th wife, and she walked away without another word. Her answer cut like a sharp knife right into his heart. The sad King then asked the 3rd wife, "I have loved you all my life. Now that I'm dying, will you follow me and keep me company?" "No!", replied the 3rd wife. "Life is too good! When you die, I'm going to remarry!" His heart sank and turned cold. He then asked the 2nd wife, "I have always turned to you for help and you've always been there for me. When I die, will you follow me and keep me company?" "I'm sorry, I can't help you out this time!", replied the 2nd wife. "At the very most, I can only send you to your grave." Her answer came like a bolt of lightning, and the King was devastated. Then a voice called out: "I'll leave with you and follow you no matter where you go." The King looked up, and there was his first wife. She was so skinny as she suffered from malnutrition and neglect. Greatly grieved, the King said, "I should have taken much better care of you when I had the chance!

In truth, we all have 4 wives in our lives: Our 4th wife is our body. No matter how much time and effort we lavish in making it look good, it will leave us when we die. Our 3rd wife is our possessions, status and wealth. When we die, it will all go to others. Our 2nd wife is our family and friends. No matter how much they have been there for us, the furthest they can stay by us is up to the grave.

And our 1st wife is our Soul. Often neglected in pursuit of wealth, power and pleasures of the world. However, our Soul is the only thing that will follow us wherever we go. So cultivate, strengthen and cherish it now, for it is the only part of us who will follow us to the throne of God and continue with us throughout Eternity. When the world pushes you to your knees.....You're in the perfect position to pray. Think about this... Are you aware that if we die tomorrow, the company that we are working for could easily replace us in a matter of days. But the family we left behind will feel the loss for the rest of their lives. And come to think of it, we pour ourselves more into work than to our own family, an unwise investment indeed, don't you think? And we often treat strangers and co-workers better than members of our family.

A store that sells husbands has just opened where a woman may go to choose a husband from among many men… The store is composed of 6 floors, and the men increase in positive attributes as the shopper ascends the flights. There is, however, a catch. As you open the door to any floor you may choose a man from that floor, but if you go up a floor, you cannot go back down except to exit the building. So a woman goes to the shopping center to find a husband.

On the first floor the sign on the door reads:Floor 1 – These men have jobs. The woman reads the sign and says to herself, “Well, that’s better than my last boyfriend, but I wonder what’s further up?” So up she goes.

The second floor sign reads:Floor 2 – These men have jobs and love kids. The woman remarks to herself, “That’s great, but I wonder what’s further up?” And up she goes again.

The third floor sign reads:Floor 3 – These men have jobs, love kids and are extremely good looking. “Hmmm, better” she says. “But I wonder what’s upstairs?”

The fourth floor sign reads:Floor 4 – These men have jobs, love kids, are extremely good looking and help with the housework. “Wow!” exclaims the woman, “very tempting. BUT, there must be more further up!” And again she heads up another flight.

The fifth floor sign reads:Floor 5 – These men have good jobs, love kids, are extremely good looking, help with the housework and have a strong romantic streak. “Oh, mercy me! But just think… what must be awaiting me further on?” So up to the sixth floor she goes.

The sixth floor sign reads:Floor 6 – You are visitor 3,456,789,012 to this floor. There are no men on this floor. This floor exists solely as proof that women are impossible to please. Thank you for shopping at ‘The Husband Store’ and have a nice day.
