January 3 is celebrated as the optional memorial for the Holy Name of Jesus and the entire month of January is traditionally dedicated to this devotion.

Because of this, God greatly exalted him and bestowed on him the name that is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bend, of those in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that, Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. MUSIC COMMITTEE OF THE DIOCESE OF SUPERIOR’S 12th ANNUAL

Entitled: Word, Sacrament, and Mission:

The Gift and the Joyful Challenge of Singing our Faith February 2&3, 2018

Location: Holy Family Church –8950 County Road J, Woodruff, WI 54568

The great Paschal Mystery is revealed to us in Word, Sacrament, and Mission. Transformed by the Spirit of the Risen Christ we received in baptism, we, in turn, are called to be agents of transformation in the world around us. It is this spirit that draws us into Liturgy, nourishes us, and sends us forth renewed each time we gather. For those of those who choose the ministry of pastoral music as their liturgical vocation, the Church urges a heartfelt stewardship of our gift through practice, prayer, and the pursuit of best practices. Through the grace of God and the help of the Holy Spirit, the result of our investment is ever more beautiful, life-giving worship, which includes the robust song of the faithful, offered in gratitude for all

the blessings we have received.
