UNIFORM/DRESSCODE

Horse Creek Academy's elementary and middle schoolstudents must wear a specific HCA Uniform. Throughout theyear will will offer both special and free dress days (these willalways be announced in advanced on Facebook, Bloomz, andRoboCall). We also offer Spirit Days every Friday (detailsincluded within). Thanks for being a part of the HCA village;we can't wait to see you dressed your best!

Dress/UniformRequirements

Uniform Shirts:

Shirts must be either black, royal blue, gold, or white.Shirts may be long or short sleeve.Shirts must be collared.Shirts may have a logo/monogram (but it should beno bigger than a standard deck of playing cards).

Uniform Pants &Shorts:

Must be black or khaki.For length guidance on shorts see page 5.Any type of legging or athletic pant is notconsidered appropriate as pants (althoughleggings can be worn under other items).

Uniform Skirts,Dresses, &Jumpers

Must be black, khaki, or our special HCA plaidfrom FrenchToast.com (we partner with thiscompany for uniforms, more info on page 6.)Dresses must have collar; for jumpers a collaredshirt must be worn underneath.*Polo type dresses (with collar) may also bepermitted in white, royal blue, and gold.For length guidance on these items see page 5.

Uniform Sweaters,Sweatshirts, & Hoodies

Must be black, white, gold, or royal blue to beworn in the building.Any official HCA sweatshirt/hoodie and jacket ispermitted. Students must ALWAYS wear a uniform collaredshirt underneath these items.Any logos/monograms must be smaller than astandard deck of playing cards.

Any color jacket may be worn.However, jackets should be unzipped when in thebuilding.Students must ALWAYS wear a uniform collared shirtunderneath.Any logos/monograms must be smaller than astandard deck of playing cards.

Any color may be permitted. No fishnet type tights may be worn. Tights and leggings should not be worn as pantsand should only be worn under other items.

Any color may be permitted. No bedroom slippers/shoes.No shoes with wheels.No shoes with very high heels (stilettos, etc.)

Additional Guidelines

Headwear No sunglasses, hats, hoods, etc. are allowed in thebuilding unless permitted for religious, medical, orother reason by school administration.

CoverageRequirements

1) Clothing must cover areasfrom one armpit across tothe other armpit, down toapproximately 3 to 4 inchesin length on the upperthighs (see image).  2) On days where differentshirt options are allowed(like free dress, picture day,etc.), shoulder straps mustbe at least 1" wide.  Rips ortears in clothing should belower than the 3 to 4 inchesin length on the upperthighs (if they are above thispoint, leggings must beworn underneath).

HCA Leadership reserves the right to determine what constitutes appropriate dress. Students who do not adhere to these guidelines may not be allowed to attend class. Parents will be called if appropriate clothing is not available or the student refuses

dress-code appropriate clothing.

HCA has partnered with online uniform distributorFrenchToast.com for some of our items. Familiesare not required to order uniforms from this site,but it is available as an option! French Toast is a

fundraiser for HCA as we earn 5% of all of our sales!*The items that are ONLY available from French Toast are thespecialized HCA plaid items. If you would like these items,you must order via French Toast. Make sure to use the stepsbelow!
