    SEWING + FASHION CONSTRUCTION

    In this course you will learn the skills to create actual garments. Youll

    explore the basic principles of design and will learn about selecting andpreparing patterns and fabrics. Basic sewing skills will be covered, such

    as seam nishes and closures. By the end of the course, you will have

    created and sewn your very own nished garment!

    LIFE DRAWING + PORTFOLIO DEVELOPMENT

    This course will get you ready for the art school admission process! Thecourse will consist of weekly assignments and critiques. The assignments

    will range from observational and gure drawing to mixed media and

    content driven work. In our critiques and discussions, youll develop the

    ability to talk about your own work and be ready for the college interview

    process. Youll also learn how to edit and organize your work to compile

    your strongest portfolio possible.

    PATTERN-MAKING I

    Once you learn pattern-making you can fully express your creative ideas.

    Using a combination of at pattern and draping techniques this course

    will teach you how make patterns based on your individual designs! You

    will learn to make a basic pattern from body measurements, will learn the

    techniques to manipulate pattern shape and will create a number of

    variations in silhouette. At the conclusion of the course, the students will

    create an original design.

    This course introduces you to the specic sizing, pattern making, and

    construction techniques of childrens wear design. Each student will

    DIGITAL DESIGNOur Digital Design courses explore the

    powerful image making programs of the

    Adobe Creative Suites. These are the tools

    of modern design, from business cards

    This course introduces basic principles of graphic design and typography,

    along with the foundation computer skills involved in design. Page layout,

    grids, and working with text and images will be covered. Students will

    create works both on and off the computer and will become comfortable

    with using the computer to create imagery.

    WEBSITE DESIGN WORKSHOP

    Dan NicholsLearn how to build your own fantastic website! Having a website is a must

    for any business, for designers, freelancers, or job seekers. Whatever

    your needs, this course will teach you the basics of creating, designing,

    and hosting your own website. Using WordPress, you will create a function

    website that utilizes plug ins for social media integration and search

    engine optimization. Youll have plenty of one-on one instruction, and you

    will leave the course with a nished website!

    The Fashion Design Certicate Programoffers a foundation in Fashion Design and

    planning, material selection, and the methods used to solve interior design

    problems. Focus is placed on the principles and elements of design, which

    include scale, proportion, balance, emphasis, rhythm, and harmony. Completeone interior design project, from beginning concept through nished visual

    and verbal presentation.

    This course will cover the various aspects of business practices for the

    interior design professional, including business formation and structure, legal
