About Your Escorts
You can truly relax on your trip to Hawaii knowing that all the details
of your cruise tour have been carefully planned by two experienced
travel professionals with extensive knowledge of the Islands. Your
personal escorts will be with you for your entire stay in Hawaii, taking
care of details and adding touches that will enhance your cruise tour.
Also, because your group is intentionaly kept small, you’ll be able to
easily have dialog with them and share their insights of life in Hawaii.
Their intent is that you return home with a deep appreciation of Ha-
waii’s history, music, food and many diverse ethnic cultures.
Lynda lived in Hawaii for 30 years and Larry was there for 26 years.
You will benefit from there long history as island residents because
your excursions and pre cruise tours are crafted to give you a re-
laxed , but insightful view of the Hawaii you’ve always wanted to ex-
perience. While on the trip Larry and Lynda will be available to an-
swer your questions and carry out any last minute details. You’ll un-
derstand why their slogan is: “Relax, you’re with us.”
Comment from a past guest:
“In addition, your preparation and attention to detail made the trip
virtually stress free for all of us; all we had to do was enjoy. . . All in
all it was the trip of a lifetime which we shall never forget.”

kiki," this legendary hotel has endured the test of time and re-
mains one of Honolulu's most vibrant hotels.
Find a unique balance of timeless Victorian elegance and modern
Hawaiian charm at our oceanfront resort, which showcases a full-
service spa and luxurious accommodations. The Moana Surfrider,
A Westin Resort & Spa, graciously welcomes you to sunny Oahu.

Exploring Oahu and the Polynesian Cultural Center
Our private tour bus and guide will pick us up at the hotel and we’ll head out for
Oahu’s North Shore. We’ll stop at the Dole Pineapple Pavilion to learn all about
pineapples (and taste some pineapple ice cream). Next we’ll see the famous
North Shore home of Hawaii’s world famous surf beaches: Sunset, Pipeline and
Banzai. After a stop in the surf town named Haleiwa for art and shopping we’ll
lunch like the locals at a shrimp truck where we’ll have a “plate lunch”. Following
lunch, we’re off to spend the rest of the afternoon at the Polynesian Cultural
Center. There we’ll mingle with the natives of 6 Pacific cultures as they demon-
strate their dances, music and way of life. You’ll also be able to see the Parade
of Canoes and enjoy the immersive experience movie: Hawaiian Journey. We’ll
spend the whole afternoon at the Center which will give you ample time to visit
all of the villages.
We’ll returnn to the Moana Surfrider at about 7:00 PM. Dinner will be on your
own. There are a number of excellent restaurants within a short walking dis-
tance of our hotel.

Your Day for relaxing, beaching or shopping
We reserved today just for you. We have no activities planned to-
day so you can enjoy our wonderful Moana Surfrider hotel. You can
take advantage of any of the included hotel activities such as a mini
surf lesson, a historical hotel tour, yoga class or aqua aerobics class.
Or you can just head for the beach and relax! (Please be careful and
use lots of sunscreen, as Hawaii is a lot closer to the equator than
you’re used to).
After the beach you can head out for some shopping. There are sev-
eral trolleys and shuttles available to take you to Honolulu’s world
class shopping mall, Ala Moana Shopping Center. Or you can just
stroll around Waikiki and explore the many shopping venues such as
Tiffany, Chanel or Gucci.
Tonight’s dinner will be on your own. You’ll need to pack tonight
since we’ll be checking out of the hotel and heading out for the
Pride of America in the morning.
Diamond Head Trail
(Suggested Activity)
Diamond Head Trail is one of the most rewarding Oahu hikes, offering
amazing 360 degrees views when you reach the top. Hiking Diamond
Head might first appear to be a challenging all day climb, but these
Oahu hiking trails can sometimes be deceiving, as it really only takes
about 40 to 60 minutes to reach the 760-foot summit of the Diamond
Head hike.
This morning your luggage will be collected in your room and we’ll check
out of our hotel. Our private bus will take us and our luggage to the pier.
Before we board the Pride of America we’ll go up to the Nuuanu Valley
Pali Lookout for a spectacular view of the windward side of Oahu. Next
we’ll take a driving tour of downtown Honolulu including the National
Cemetery of the Pacific, the State Capital Building and King Kamehmeha’s
statue. We’ll also have a private 1 hour tour of Iolani Palace, America’s
only royal residence. You’ll enjoy this poignant look at the Hawaiian Mon-
archy. This is a tour that very few visitors to Hawaii get to experience.
Following our tour we’ll have a short drive and board our home for the
next seven nights, NCL’s Pride of America. We should board in time for
lunch. Sail away will be at 7:00 PM so you’ll have plenty of time to unpack
and explore the ship or visit Aloha Tower.
We’ll meet in the Main Dining Room for our first evening dinner together.

Private Tour Iolani Palace
About Iolani Palace
Iolani Palace is a living restoration of a proud Hawaiian national
identity and is recognized as the spiritual and physical multicultur-
al epicenter of Hawaii. Built in 1882 by King Kalakaua, Iolani Pal-
ace was the home of Hawaii’s last reigning monarchs and served
as the official royal residence and the residence of the Kingdom’s
political and social life until the overthrow of the monarchy in
1893.
Registered as a National Historic Landmark since 1962 and the on-
ly official royal residence in the United States, the Palace is one of
the most recognizable buildings in Hawaii. Meticulously restored
to its former grandeur, Iolani Palace tells of a time when their
Majesties, King Kalakaua and his sister and successor, Queen Liliu-
okalani walked the grand halls.
Haleakala, House of the Sun
The Pride of America arrives at Kahalui, Maui this morning and we’ll be
met by our private small bus for a trip to the summit of Hale’akala (the
“House of the Sun”) an extinct volcanic crater cone for some spectacular
views. We’ll then head back down the mountain to visit a lavendar farm and have lunch (included). We'll return to the ship so that you can change into your "aloha attire" for our luau tonight.
Around 5:00 PM we’ll be heading to the Old Lahaina Luau, the best luau
in all of Hawaii. We have been to many luaus in Hawaii and we chose
this luau because of its setting, authentic food and entertainment. Every-
thing is included from Mai Tais to quality wines. You’ll be amazed at the
show which is absolutely the most historically correct hula show present-
ed anywhere in Hawaii. You are definitely in for a treat that few visitors
to Maui get to enjoy.

Today you’ll make the driving trip of a lifetime. This all-day
tour will take you to the most beautiful region of Maui, show-
ing you some of the most scenic spots found on any of the
Hawaiian islands.
As we travel along on this 68-mile trip, our experienced driver
& friendly guide will give a captivating narration of the island’s
secrets all along the way. Weaving through the lush tropical
rainforest, there are more than 600 curves & 59 one-lane
bridges on the Road to Hana with stunning vistas, cascading
waterfalls, and scenic coastal scenery galore! It’s more about
the journey rather than the destination on the Road to Hana, so
sit back, relax and enjoy the view from our comfortable air-
conditioned mini coach.
We’ll have local plate lunch at a lunch wagon by a red sand beach. Then we'll return to the ship in time to sail away to the
Big Island.
We’ll meet again this evening for our optional group dinner
in the dining room.
Hilo: Orchids, Fire and Nuts
This morning our private bus takes on a guided tour of the Hawaii Volcanoes
National Park, but first we’ll stop at Hawaii’s premier orchid growers where
you’ll see hundreds of different types of orchids. We’ll explore the Thurston
Lava Tube. Lunch will be at the Volcano House on the rim of the Hale Ma’u
Ma’u caldera with a magnificent view of the volcano.
After lunch it’s down to the Chain of Craters road We’ll make a stop on the
way back to the pier at Mauna Loa macadamia nut orchards to stock up on
souvenirs and sample some delicious macadamia nut ice cream.
Tonight we sail away over to the other side of the Big Island to Kona Town.

Kona: Paniolos and Coffee
Kona is the only port where we will tender to shore. The ship’s life boats
will take us ashore. Our bus will meet us at the tender pier and we’ll head
for the Kohala coast. We’ll travel to the adorable old Hawaiian plantation
town, Hawi. Lunch is at one of Hawaii’s best local farm to table restau-
rants. Then we’ll head back via the Parker Ranch which is home to Ha-
waii’s cowboys (paniolos). We'll make a stop at one of Kona’s best coffee
stores where you'll learn all about the unique Kona coffee. You'll also be able to taste the coffees. Then we’ll head for the pier with plenty of time
to shop at the many shops adjacent to the tender pier.

Pride of America arrives at Nawiliwili Harbor early this morning and we’ll
be heading up to Kaui’s beautiful North Shore. Lunch will be at the Light-
house Bistro in the charming village of Kamuela. After lunch we’ll go to the
most beautiful spot in Hawaii, Hanalei. The beach park there was the back-
drop for most of the scenes in the recent film “The Descendants.” You’ll be
back to our ship in time to look for the “Green Flash” at sunset. We’ll also
have time for shopping at the shopping centers near the pier.

Note: "The Descendants" the movie
We strongly suggest that you take time to watch this movie. It's probably the best movie made in Hawaii. It will give you a great insight into some of the issues facing the people of Hawaii.
The Grand Canyon of the Pacific
Our ship departs early this afternoon so that you can enjoy the incom-
parable views of the Na Pali Coast on our cruise to Honolulu. Before
we leave we’ll have time for a trip to view Waimea Canyon and enjoy
the breath-taking views. After that visit we’ll stop at the Kauai Coffee Company for some last minute gifts for the folks at home. We’ll take
a look at the Spouting Horn blowhole and return to Pride of America
in time for a late lunch and a 2:00 PM Sail Away. At the blowhole gift shops you'll have the opportunity to view and purchase the very rare
Niihau shell necklaces.
Upon leaving Nawiliwili harbor we’ll sail up the Na Pali coast on our
way to Honolulu. We have chosen your balcony cabin location so that you will have the best views of coastline. If the clouds don't obscure our view, you'll enjoy the magnificent colors of the Na Pali that can only be seen from the ocean.
Please Note: NCL no longer lets us reserve cabin numbers in advance
of a deposit. You need to book early so that we can select a port side
cabin which is the best side of the ship to view the coastline.

This morning you’ll wake up in Honolulu Harbor and sadly, our cruise will

memorial and the USS Missouri, two ships representing the beginning and
the end of World War II.
We’ll be picked up at the pier along with our luggage which will be safely
stowed in our private vehicle while you’re enjoying Pearl Harbor. You’ll be
able to take a shuttle to the Arizona Memorial, a truly moving experience.
After visiting the Memorial will go to the Pacific Aviation Museum where
you can see details of the air attack on Pearl Harbor. We’ll eat lunch at the
museum and then head for the airport.
You’ll get to the airport in plenty of time to catch your overnight flight
